Oh quick question. It finally dawned on me watching the Regional finals being played out that.....wait, there's no blue "this is a neutral" court cover on the hosting floor. In fact, my daughter has been binge watching volleyball these last few days and all the Regionals are using their "native" court. Not the blue/gray mandated floors of the past.
What gives?
the scuttlebutt is that they didnât require sport court floors this year in preparation for requiring taraflex next year Why they would need a year gap is beyond me but ÂŻ\_(ă)_/ÂŻ |

I'm the whitest of white belts and only started going at the request of VolleyOrphan. . . it's basically sanctioned elder abuse. |

There were Texas-hating-trolls bitching about how Texas was celebrating "too much" after the win.
Whatever, blah-blah-blah Karen.
What I was thinking about were the freshmen and the transfers. For a freshman to come in and set your team to the Final Four. Wow.
For Barnes to be playing the backwater (sorry, but true) of Texas A&M CC for 4 years and then say, "What the heck! I want to make the tournament and see what it's like to go deep in the tournament". To see that gamble on yourself pay off!
And the Akana tears. Surprised and but surprised. Her fourth straight year in the playoffs. She knows how hard it is to get to the Final Four and I think she was shocked to get past Stanford.
And then Maddie "All I know is winning" Skinner.
Glad for these first timers and last timers to experiencing something many of their friends and ex-teammates will never experience.
Huzzzah! Huzzzah! Huzzzah!
