I can't remember where he said it but Micah Christenson (USA men's setter, top 3 in the world) talking about how he evolved his game to not be jump setting as much unless he was actively trying to draw the block/dump or get to a tight ball because his location was better off the ground obviously her injury has led to the jump limiting, but my own personal observations would be that Ella's location on the slide and to the left pin in general have been much more consistent off two feet In my opinion, jump setting can be overused. Outside of a few setters that know how to time their square, freeze defenses, and are actual threats, it can be clocking. |

With offense finally clicking for Texas, (congrats swindle for mass improvement throughout season) I will safely say I believe texas will beat Wisconsin.
Texas has too much firepower for the great Wisconsin defense, and Wisconsin is vulnerable when they have to depend on their setters to make plays. They can really get in their own way with tempo sometimes. Texas defense is good enough to slow this down. Texas transition game is deadly right now, swindle is humming.

My confidence level prior to last night's match was somewhat on the high side due to:
- all #1 seeds having won in the first 3 matches earlier in the day; since 2016 when the regional sites went back to the #1 seeds hosting, not once have all four #1 seeds advanced to the Final Four; the odds were with us
- throughout Big 12 play, Texas showed much better in the second match of a 2-match series than in the first match; same held true last week in the sub-regional; we didn't play our best against Tennessee on Thursday, figured we could repeat our season-long pattern and play well against Stanford
- Stanford demolished us 0-3 in Austin in September; our team had the psychological advantage of wanting to redeem themselves this time around and Stanford didn't have that same motivation

Finished rewatching the match, except the second set because.......I'm not a sadist, you fools.
As part of rewatch, my count in watching the last points from 20 onward in set 4 goes up to 5.
And like fine wine, that rewatch just gets better with time.
Now, this Wenaas girl......intriguing. Tell me more about her, please.
