I totally see that argument. I think Dawn’s been exceptional and I don’t want to diminish her excellence this year. Personal opinion, I think it’s harder to get from the middle, going .500 ish in sec play to the top, going 16-2, which the sec champ will likely need to be this year, than it is to go from near the bottom to the middle. 5 sec teams have losing records on the year, say you just beat those teams, you’re already near the middle, maybe you have a couple of those twice you’re up to 8 wins. But if you wanna be at the top you gotta go to Florida, win; go to Tennessee, win; go to Kentucky and win (which Ark lost in 5). Good opinion. I’d just say. DS has taken her team to the top 4 of the conference in year one. Ya. That was an awesome performance.

"Top teams?" Florida is 6th in the SEC right now. Yes, I think they’re a ‘top team’ in the SEC. They’ve gotta beat Mizzou, end up 5th, all 5 of those teams being ranked in the top 25. Weird loss against MSU, that’s bad. But 3 losses to top 15 teams, a split with top 25 Auburn and a split with a nice TAMU team that we all think is pretty talented. Ok, if the top half of the SEC are all "top teams" sure.

Does a national Top 25 ranking not distinguish a team as 'top'. I figured that was a pretty safe metric.

But anyways, my point was your original post just doesn't make sense because Florida doesn't belong in the Ark/UK/Tenn grouping, and hasn't separated itself from Mizzou, Auburn, Texas A&M, Georgia, or LSU really. Top teams further separated themselves tonight. Florida, Tennessee, Ark - All dominant performances.

So…tis the season. who is getting bought out this year? Vandy's winless season is bad news for Anders. I have to imagine that Coach Mendoza's seat is warm, and if the MSU administration weren't worried about their football team, I would expect Darty to be under scrutiny. The player exodus and poor results this year (and last) are pretty clear signs, imo. It ought to be too soon for Reed to be under much pressure, but who knows.

I was waiting for someone to point that out. Give him the contract extension now!
