Bianna Muonoke - TAMU to UGA Know a lot of the volleyball circles of the Muonekes. Attitude problems and character questions. Rumor is that D1 players at Cy Ranch wouldn’t play volleyball because Bianna was playing. The Muonekes had a controlling ownership of that program. Once they left, many talented players wanted to play again. This one is an addition by subtraction. Sad because she is clearly talented. "Posts: 1"

Has there been any discussions about what the schedule will look like after adding Texas, OU and Vandy? That's 15 matchups. I expect every team will have a permanent opponent so that Bama/Auburn, Texas/A&M, etc can have 2 matchups every year. That leaves two additional matchups to get to 18. Is there sentiment for playing additional conference game? I understood it as playing every team once then the conference tournament weekend. I don't think it's been officially announced though.

The most recent "update" I have seen (in a couple articles) is this non-informative chunk: Regular season: Format to be determined. SEC Volleyball Tournament: A Conference tournament will be conducted for the first time since 2005. All Conference teams will participate. Still to be determined is whether the SEC Volleyball Tournament will resume following the 2024 season or following the 2025 season. It's dated from March 2023. There must be something more recent, right?

Is there sentiment for playing additional conference game? The Texas coach, Jerritt Elliott, was making a radical proposal in his comments before the national championship match, saying teams should only play about 12 conference matches, then a conference tournament, and use the rest of the schedule to create big time matchups and events throughout the year to grow the sport. I don't think that has any chance of flying in the short term. But one thing I'd love to see is something akin to the conference "challenges" we see in other sports like basketball. I think a midseason ACC/SEC volleyball challenge (both conferences have ESPN as the sole rights holder) could be a lot of fun.

There must be something more recent, right? If every team played each other plus additional game against a permanent opponent that would get us to an even 16 games. I bring up the "permanent opponent" because the SEC is big on the idea and has maintained them in the proposed schedules in other sports. The OG SEC schools have been persistent in their desire to maintain old rivalries. As a South Carolina fan, I don't particularly care about it since Clemson plays in the ACC. Oklahoma is in a similar boat, so we'll probably end up their opponent if it happens. I'm pretty excited about the tournament. There is always a part of me that believes a volleyball champion is determined in an extended weekend tournament because that's how it done in club. No real basis that is the best way, but whatever. I would definitely attend, if near by. Speaking of which, I've seen no host city announced yet. With the SEC, projected attendance is major factor in deciding conference tournament locations. What location gives the best chance at selling tickets? Texas? Not sure the conference would make that bold move in Year One of expansion. Nashville, maybe?

SEC Tournament needs to come to Atlanta! Selfish reasons aside, we’d be a great host! lol

Not sure I agree with you there about OU’s rival being in a different conference, Lou.
