Disappointment is a bitter pill to swallow. I understand. Even more disappointing will be not recognizing the country that you grew up in. And you’re supporting it. But many of you were too foolish to understand that. What are the roots that clutch, what branches grow Out of this stony rubbish? Son of man, You cannot say, or guess, for you know only A heap of broken images, where the sun beats, And the dead tree gives no shelter, the cricket no relief, And the dry stone no sound of water. Only There is shadow under this red rock, (Come in under the shadow of this red rock), And I will show you something different from either Your shadow at morning striding behind you Or your shadow at evening rising to meet you; I will show you fear in a handful of dust. Anyway, the omnibus bill has now passed both houses, Biden will sign in a day or two, and then it's earmarks for me, earmarks for you, earmarks for everyone. Make it rain, yo!

We have to stop spending taxpayer money. Do you guys realize with raising interest rates also raises the money we have to pay in debt from being so far in the hole? No one even tries to curb spending. It’s an absolute %*$# show.If a single one of us ran our business or personal budgets like this we would’ve been bankrupt years ago. But we think this is acceptable from our own government?

Government is not a for-profit organization, nor should it ever be run like one. Also, even with the potential for abuse, earmarks are a net positive, particularly in today's ultra-partisan political climate. Congress critters are far more likely to step up to the negotiating table and craft a bill that will benefit the greater good of the country if they have some skin in the game (like, say, Dan Crenshaw from Texas, who secured $26 million in funding for projects in his district), like the bill that was passed today.

So it’s sort of like shoplifting, as long as someone gets something then it’s not really wrong. Beautiful analogy. You inspire me.
