Karolina and Berger are great gets! Excited to see what they can do in the NCAA! The other international recruits are really a gamble so we will see what they can produce. Also, interesting they got a benched middle from a mid major -kaya hood, 6’5”, played in 4 sets last year. Like the height but if she wasn’t starting at Samford, will she make any impact in the BIG? Hood has been injury prone and very slow. I wish her well, but I would be shocked if she sees the court in the B1G. She did not play at all at Samford. Kaya Hood is the sister of Mia Hood who also committed to MSU (graduating HS in 2024). Mia is 6’7” - anyone know anything about her?

I was hoping iosia was gunna get Parra up for a visit but idk how many scholarships msu has available? I’m guessing that Parra is looking to play 6 rotations in a good conference so I feel msu would be the perfect spot for her. One can only hope! Parra is following Jake Barreau on IG. Work your magic Iosia! Parra could walk in and be a starter in the Big Ten. That’s gotta count for something. I hope MSU has a plan for replacing Poljan and Monks in the middle. Nil Okur did a good job this season but the M2 will have to be someone who never played at all last season. I hope the coaching staff will surprise us with someone.

2022 was disappointing. I think MSU would have gotten a few more Big Ten wins with Poljan, Monks, and Nunez were healthy all season. This season was always going to be an uphill battle, but a few more wins would have been nice.

I was more just asking if you have a lot of internationals does that pigeon hole you and you are always a team with mostly internationals. Or will she use momentum hopefully she creates to get higher touted high school kids to come. Totally get what you're asking and it's a valid question. I guess it depends on how much success you have using that strategy. More success means more eyes on the program, which could also lure more American born athletes.

She has a ton of upside and is a decent blocker. Could certainly use some more speed on the block as she can sometimes get torched by good setters. Average offensive threat, but that may lend itself to the system she is playing in. Good coaching on the offensive side will benefit her tremendously. Tends to run a ton of 31 ‘s and quicks in a typically pin heavy offense in club. Excited to see what she can do at the next level.

Are there some Michigan State players in the portal? Aubrey O’Gorman transferred to LSU for beach and Danziger transferred to Jacksonville State. I’m not aware of (and hope there are not) any others in the portal.

Mike Becker is no longer listed in the coaches section for the 2023 season. Isn’t his wife an assistant at Iowa? I wonder if one of them are moving into a head coach position somewhere.

That’s promising about parra but not holding my breath. MSU also has a polish freshman MB coming in that can hopefully make an impact!

From my view, Michigan State now has three pretty good recruiters on staff. Go B1G !
