That is fine. We aren't getting anywhere and you really aren't interested in engaging. Time to move on. You didn't respond to anything in the first place, then lied about what I said, and now you say I am not engaged? Each time I challenged you at all, you went silent. You wouldn't consider how another belief compared to yours. Now you won't consider what human rights are and where they come from. I didn't expect you to run from a challenge faster than Holiday. You keep inferring that I am interjecting my beliefs on others? I have stated that there are two competing 'rights'. The right of a women to control her own body and the right of a human life. I haven't said that one takes precedent over the other - but that killing a living human isn't a good thing. If saying that killing a human is not good and is just interjecting my own belief - then I would be guilty. But being opposed to killing another living human isn't just a Christian value - it is a basic human decency value. Either you believe that the unborn child is a living human at some point (viability, heartbeat) and that it is okay to kill that living human because the right to control one's body is more important. Or you don't believe that an unborn child is a living human (Jewish Law). I have been told here that no one believes that an unborn child is not a human (after viability). No idea what you think - you really don't want to engage. My opinion - if one thinks that the right of the women to control her body takes precedent over killing a living human - then that is an argument worth having (competing rights). This is not a discussion you are interested in engaging in - and frankly it isn't something where we are going to change minds. I think this is a tough discussion w/o any easy answers. Any opinion by definition is interjecting one's beliefs and values on another. To say that it is only one side that is interjecting their values - would be dishonest. To say that a women has the right to an abortion because the unborn child isn't a human life - then this is where I disagree. I believe that an unborn child is a human life at some point before they take their first breath outside the womb. |

There's no real justification for the severe abortion bans sweeping the country other than Christian (mostly Evangelical) beliefs
I haven't given any definitive statement on when life begins. I have questioned viability as definitively being the dividing line. I have also maintained that living human life begins at some point before birth. And how is this 'religious' belief? Can only a religious person believe that human life exists before birth? I believed this to be true my entire life as an agnostic - so cleary one doesn't have to be religious to come to this conclusion. Where have I talked about 'severe abortion bans'? |

Again, instead of simply stating that you missed it, you have to justify it by saying any rational person would’ve missed HOLIDAY’s sarcasm. I’m fairly rational (I can see other people’s perspectives and acknowledge when I don’t have a counter argument) but I also recognized that the statement was sarcastic. Clearly not lol. They didn't. I found them sad and pathetic. Just pointing out that actually "you're the one who's made a big deal about it" lol Only according to you. And yet you took the time to dig them up and repost them.
