Fire alarm just started going off and there was an audible “not again” from the scoring table False alarm, apparently. It’s off now

Third set:
Gold: Hudson Chicoine Poulter Myers Colvin Schermerhorn Carr (playing OPP) Yim Brown
Black: Anderson Kane Rastovski Williams Wollard Warren Hornung Heaney
Fire alarm went off again in the middle of the point, probably good practice for playing in loud chaotic gyms lol

Third set 25-14 gold. Hudson and Chicoine are the real deal, and a ton of fun to watch.

Black wins set 4, 25-23. Gold had Wollard playing all the away around with Chicoine in the front row and Hudson in the back most of the set.
Black played very well, and the practice players had a bigger impact for Black than they did in the previous sets.

Black wins 15-9 in the 5th. Williams stood out to me in the back row for Black, hanging in there and digging up some nice balls, as well as decent serve receive.

Taking a shot in the dark at this but based on line-ups, maybe next week's starters are:
S: Poulter OPP: Wollard (Hornung) MB: Colvin, Myers OH: Chicoine, Hudson L: Schermerhorn*
* I think Shondell will do something similar to 2021 where Schermerhorn and Hornung trade off at libero until at least conference starts.
I'm also curious, with the depth at the pins and defensive specialists, if Heaney and Kane might redshirt.

Wollard had a lot of touches with the "A Team," especially at the start before they started mixing it up a bit. I feel like Carr might get some touches at either middle or opp, depending on if someone's having a rough day up front.

If I come for the Purdue v USC and Ill vs USC games, what’s the best way to get to West Lafayette from Minneapolis? Thru Indy?

If I come for the Purdue v USC and Ill vs USC games, what’s the best way to get to West Lafayette from Minneapolis? Thru Indy? Purdue is north of Indy on I-65, so no need. If you’re driving from MSP, you’ll probably end up going through Madison, Chicago. If you’re flying, Chicago will give you the best options, but Indy will be closer. Assume you’re going to rent a car and Ohare is only ~2 hrs to Purdue, and Indy is probably 1hr and some change.

I could google this, but can I fly into West Lafayette?

Hearing really positive things about the two scrimmages. Chloe seems to be special, and defensively the Boilers are solid. Yeah, tough spot for 2 freshmen DSs. Just need to get that setting spot ID’d and dialed in. Poulter getting to game shape in 9 months is pretty impressive.

Going to be a tough out for any team. But I see a lot of long sets for this team.
