Purdue is north of Indy on I-65, so no need. If you’re driving from MSP, you’ll probably end up going through Madison, Chicago. If you’re flying, Chicago will give you the best options, but Indy will be closer. Assume you’re going to rent a car and Ohare is only ~2 hrs to Purdue, and Indy is probably 1hr and some change. I have flight benefits so I can fly. I could google this, but can I fly into West Lafayette? I am not aware of any scheduled commercial flight to WLAF. If you’ve got your own plane, well thats what I’d do. It’s probably a mile from Holloway. Tried talking my wife into me getting my license and getting into a club. No dice!! You know more about flight benefits than I do, but there again, ORD/MDW would give you more options to get on a flight. The planes are loaded so much nowadays. Anyway, MSP is a hell of a drive, Chicago not bad, and Indy easy. Take your pick and Go Boilers!

Has anyone heard the season 5, episode 1 Dig City podcast? It is alarming to hear about an off-season injury to Hudson. It was nice to hear about the team though. It’s exciting to hear about each individual athlete.

If I come for the Purdue v USC and Ill vs USC games, what’s the best way to get to West Lafayette from Minneapolis?

You may want to check O'Hare airport in Chicago. I believe they have direct flights to W. Laf. and rental cars at the airport and bus routs past Holloway.

If I come for the Purdue v USC and Ill vs USC games, what’s the best way to get to West Lafayette from Minneapolis? Thru Indy? Fly into chicago midway and it is much closer than Ohare. Prob a 2.5 hour drive.

I meant to say earlier that there usually are flights out of Midway Airport that have some direct flights to West Lafayette. Check to see if the combination of two flights gets you here on time. Otherwise, I would go direct to Indianapolis airport. It is only 1 hour and 10 minutes from there and traffic is usually smooth.

www.purdue.edu/airport/about/reservations.html"Commercial Airline Reservations We do not currently have commercial airline service at the Purdue University Airport (LAF). The closest airport with airline service is in Indianapolis, located about 65 miles south of Lafayette." I typically fly into Indianapolis. The airport is on the west side and 65 exits Indy on the northwest, so it's relatively convenient if you rent a car. Flying into Chicago, O'Hare on the Northwest side to the Indiana burbs can take hours depending on the time of day. Midway isn't near a freeway, so you are at the mercy of Chicago traffic there too. Traffic from Indy is not bad, and if for some reason 65 is backed up, 52 is an adjacent detour.

I just got an email since I am a season ticket holder: NEW to Holloway this year will be a pregame lightshow! Go to the "Purdue Lights" section on the Purdue Sports app before starting lineups and your phone will automatically connect to the light show! I love that they are doing this for volleyball. They have done it for basketball for a few years now. I cannot wait for Friday’s match . I’m so excited for this season.

The Chicoine and Hudson duo is very fun to watch live. It was nice to see such a balanced offense. Colvin, Hudson, and Chicoine in double digits in kills. I was also impressed with Hudson’s double double performance. In the beginning of the match, I was surprised to see such low block numbers. But they really turned it on in the 4th set. Hopefully Purdue will have their block party earlier in the set tomorrow. You could that this was a first match or the season…but the team did right the ship. Cannot wait for tomorrow to come.

These girls are big time competitors. Will definitely be fun to watch.
