Did anyone predict Hoffman would take the jersey from Taylor? Yeah. Just based on Taylor’s performance so far, a lot of people felt Hoffman should be given a shot.

Cant argue that Taylor’s performances have left much to be desired and I’m so excited to see Kaitlyn getting a shot but never thought she’d be a big ten libero watching her grow up in the club ranks.

Did anyone predict Hoffman would take the jersey from Taylor? I didn't watch the game tonight, as I was out, but I feel like all my posts since this spring have been begging for a different option at libero. Hopefully they can compete with Oregon tomorrow and not let Gabby go off for double digti kills.

Did anyone predict Hoffman would take the jersey from Taylor? Yes, as a matter of fact I mentioned so in the post directly above yours. Just poking fun at you; found the context to be ironically comical so I had to take the opportunity!

Gabby gets 20 k’s. Fired up:) I bet you feel real dumb right now that she only got 19 and hit .410. This weekend was a better performance than I expected, especially with no Grace Egan. One of these matches beast Londot is going to carry the team to an upset win if the defense can keep improving to keep us in more points. Would really like to get at least one in Texas next weekend, especially with how Baylor has looked to start the season.

Rolling into the Big Ten on a six game losing streak, with the biggest win against Bowling Green, and most of our top players starting for other schools.
The season might be off to a bit of a rocky start.

Could be worse.
The Wolverines are 0-3 vs the MAC.

Why doesn’t Tuman set Londot in the back row? I think she would me more effective than #31 trying to slide smh

I think she would me more effective than #31 trying to slide smh Eloise has been pretty effective running the slides most nights, but Nebraska's block is a different level. I think the main reason is that she is scrambling to get any set most of the time because OSU can't pass and doesn't have great ball control on digs in rally.

I'm a Minnesota Gophers VB fan, but also a Big Ten fan. I'm hoping Ohio State performs well enough that they will be selected into the NCAA tournament, as long as that is not at the Gophers expense. Given Ohio State's current 4-8 record and looking at their schedule ahead, OSU cannot afford more than 1 or 2 losses to teams in the middle/lower echelon of the Big Ten. Ohio State will probably need to win 12 of its remaining 17 games to insure selection. At this time, it appears likely that Ohio State will be battling Indiana and Maryland for the 6th (and final) slot the Big Ten will probably be allotted to the tournament. Sunday's home game vs a 12-3 Maryland team (which played a much weaker non-conference schedule than OSU) is therefore a crucial test for both teams. BTW...thanks for Davis and Murr, really appreciate that.

Not the best performance, but several positives tonight. Tuman played half of set 3 and all of set 4 and looks good to go against Penn State tomorrow night. The middles were dominant and Thorpe had a good night. Londot got real cold in the third set but still had a lot of kills. Need to keep winning these matches against the lower and middle of the B1G and jump up to get one of the beatable better teams (Penn State, Minnesota, Purdue) to make the tournament.

Hey tOSU fans! I'm planning to make a thread for next week's match with Illinois and I'd love some help on predicting your starting lineup. I try to list everyone that plays a regular rotation, all the way down to serving specialists. Thanks!

Hey tOSU fans! I'm planning to make a thread for next week's match with Illinois and I'd love some help on predicting your starting lineup. I try to list everyone that plays a regular rotation, all the way down to serving specialists. Thanks! S: Mia Tuman OH: Emily Londot OH: Lauren Murphy, she serves but DS: Sydney Taylor for the back row OPP: Chelsea Thorpe, DS: Sarah Sue Morbitzer (serves) MBs: Rylee Rader (serves) and Eloise Brandewie L: Kaitlyn Hoffman Londot always starts front left, with Tuman front middle, Rader front right, Hoffman back left, Morbitzer back middle, and Murphy/Taylor back right. Serving order: If OSU serves first: Murphy, Rader, Tuman, Londot, Hoffman, Morbitzer If OSU serves second: Rader, Tuman, Londot, Hoffman, Morbitzer, Murphy If we are struggling the most likely subs are to let Taylor play front row instead of Murphy or maybe Ragler in for Thorpe and we use a middle on the right side, but that hasn't happened in a few matches. Let me know if you have any more questions.
