Hey tOSU fans! I'm planning to make a thread for next week's match with Illinois and I'd love some help on predicting your starting lineup. I try to list everyone that plays a regular rotation, all the way down to serving specialists. Thanks! S: Mia Tuman OH: Emily Londot OH: Lauren Murphy, she serves but DS: Sydney Taylor for the back row OPP: Chelsea Thorpe, DS: Sarah Sue Morbitzer (serves) MBs: Rylee Rader (serves) and Eloise Brandewie L: Kaitlyn Hoffman Londot always starts front left, with Tuman front middle, Rader front right, Hoffman back left, Morbitzer back middle, and Murphy/Taylor back right. Serving order: If OSU serves first: Murphy, Rader, Tuman, Londot, Hoffman, Morbitzer If OSU serves second: Rader, Tuman, Londot, Hoffman, Morbitzer, Murphy If we are struggling the most likely subs are to let Taylor play front row instead of Murphy or maybe Ragler in for Thorpe and we use a middle on the right side, but that hasn't happened in a few matches. Let me know if you have any more questions. This is perfect- thanks so much for the help!

I'm a Minnesota Gophers VB fan, but also a Big Ten fan. I'm hoping Ohio State performs well enough that they will be selected into the NCAA tournament, as long as that is not at the Gophers expense. Given Ohio State's current 4-8 record and looking at their schedule ahead, OSU cannot afford more than 1 or 2 losses to teams in the middle/lower echelon of the Big Ten. Ohio State will probably need to win 12 of its remaining 17 games to insure selection. At this time, it appears likely that Ohio State will be battling Indiana and Maryland for the 6th (and final) slot the Big Ten will probably be allotted to the tournament. Sunday's home game vs a 12-3 Maryland team (which played a much weaker non-conference schedule than OSU) is therefore a crucial test for both teams. BTW...thanks for Davis and Murr, really appreciate that. This didn’t age well (for Minnesota) Came on here to say I thought Ohio State looked much cleaner tonight v Penn State than prior matches this season. Players other than Londot had bright spots and were terminal. The defense was good. Looking forward to watching this young team continue to develop!

What’s the team’s chance at making the tournament? Preseason seemed pretty brutal, but they’re winning the matches they should.

I would say slightly less than 50% since they don't have much room for error and are relying on a lot of freshmen, but we will know a lot know after this weekend with Illinois and Purdue at home. I think this home match against Purdue is their best chance of winning 1 of the matches against the teams in the B1G second tier and they probably will need 1 or 2 of those to qualify.

Another 5th set loss, 1-3 this year. Outscored Indiana and handled their serve a lot better than I thought they would, but lost both deuce sets. Going to have to run the table on winnable games the rest of the way to have a chance. It is going to be so sad to see Londot's OSU career probably end with no tournament senior year.

Londot will likely come back for a 5th year since she has her COVID year. I don’t see another instance where that class leaves like last year just because this class is much smaller. Would think they’d have a spot for one of the best to ever wear scarlet and gray.

Is Wednesday's match airing on BTN at 6pm? The TV schedule I looked at has a football replay airing at 6pm. Did this match vs Northwestern get moved to BTN+ ?

Hoffman in a boot tonight. Wouldn't surprise me if it is a minor ankle injury and she is being rested to be fully healthy for the tough matches that they must win basically all of to save the season. Grace Egan is no longer using the scooter, so her recovery must be coming along.

Is that the best win of the year? It just shows how much of a down year it is, if that is true.

Was coming here to talk about this. I wonder what that means for Londot, is she still thinking about it or is not coming back?

I bet she is still thinking about it and that Rylee's recent injury helped her make a quicker decision. I think if we don't hear anything by or on senior night, then I would be worried about Emily not coming back
