There is the possibility that when Rupert Murdoch dies, there might be a power struggle where his son James might wrest control (which would require the cooperation of his sisters) of the company. He doesn't share the politics of Lachlan or Rupert, and I've heard that his wish would be the shut down Fox News or at least kill its clear partisan bent.  |

Settled for $787.5 Million Looks like no admission of guilt nor apology. Cowards. The judge already ruled that they had defamed Dominion. The only issue was of "actual malice" to support a jury verdict. And all the discovery is in the public domain. But we still have Smartmatic v Fox. That's going on in Manhattan. It's a little bit different because Smartmatic doesn't have much of an equipment footprint in the United States (except for Los Angeles County), but they do provide software services. |
