Tucker Carlson and Sean Hannity discussed wanting a Fox News reporter fired after she pushed back on Trump's election liesTucker Carlson and Sean Hannity discussed trying to have a Fox News reporter fired in November 2020 after she publicly pushed back against then-President Donald Trump's election lies, according to a new court filing.
On November 12, 2020, in a group chat between Carlson, Hannity, and commentator Laura Ingraham, cited in the court documents, Carlson zeroed in on a tweet from Fox News reporter Jacqui Heinrich in which she fact-checked a Trump tweet that mentioned Dominion and previous Fox News coverage about the voting machines.
The Dominion document released Thursday notes that Heinrich "accurately fact-checked the tweet," pointing out that top election officials had said there was no evidence of any voting systems deleting, losing, or changing votes in the election.
Carlson and Hannity apparently did not take kindly to her public rejection of Trump's messaging.
"Please get her fired. Seriously...What the !!!!###$$$!!!?" Carlson wrote in a text to his colleagues, according to the filing. "I'm actually shocked...It needs to stop immediately, like tonight. It's measurably hurting the company. The stock price is down. Not a joke."
Hannity responded saying he had already sent Heinrich's tweet to Fox News CEO Suzanne Scott with a "really?"
After receiving Hannity's message about Heinrich's tweet, Scott wrote in a message to Fox News President Jay Wallace and Fox News Senior Executive Vice President of Corporate Communications Irena Briganti: "Sean texted me — he's standing down on responding but not happy about this and doesn't understand how this is allowed to happen from anyone in news," according to the court filing.
"She has serious nerve doing this and if this gets picked up, viewers are going to be further disgusted," Scott wrote of Heinrich, according to the filing.
By the following morning, Heinrich had deleted her fact-checking tweet, the motion said.

What's really amusing is that Holiday's rant about how "they turned into MSNBC for a few days" was actually quite on point. They *did* turn into MSNBC for a few days -- fact-checking lies, telling their viewers the truth about who won the election, etc. Acting like an actual news organization.
Of course Tucker et al. went ballistic, and the FOX viewers stopped watching, because that was never the deal with FOX. They were not supposed to tell people like Holiday the truth. They were supposed to tell him only what he wanted to hear, and if that meant lying to him, that was fine with him. As long as they just didn't tell him anything that would make him question his little fantasy world.

What's really amusing is that Holiday's rant about how "they turned into MSNBC for a few days" was actually quite on point. They *did* turn into MSNBC for a few days -- fact-checking lies, telling their viewers the truth about who won the election, etc. Acting like an actual news organization. Of course Tucker et al. went ballistic, and the FOX viewers stopped watching, because that was never the deal with FOX. They were not supposed to tell people like Holiday the truth. They were supposed to tell him only what he wanted to hear, and if that meant lying to him, that was fine with him. Brian Skelter, for being the most hateful of all Trump critics sadly also had the worst ratings on earth. Jeffrey Toobin who let his fingers not do the walking on a zoom call. The anti-fox Network is on the verge of collapse. And of course Don Lemmon, another narcissist who is the most overrated so-called journalist CNN ever produced. He’s on the verge of getting fired for his continual stupidity. Donald Trump not only expose CNN but all of them. The ones mighty networks of ABC, NBC and CBS, now look like hateful political tools . The public has figured this out and have given their support to the networks they trust the most. And in typical fashion people like Mike and the rest of the hyperventilating crybaby liberals will continue to attack Fox News , and it’s viewers because that’s what cowards do.
