5 esteemed programs? are we sure about that? One of the 5 has a very specific profile of athlete they look for in a setter. That is why they are in the gym along with the others.

The setter isn't the only 2025 in that gym that these schools are watching. Kelly Kinney (6'2 OH) is probably a higher rated potential college recruit. She played at Boomers last year and is a great addition to this group.

My comment was specific to why a specific college was probably there.

With Triple Crown going on and the contact date less than 4 months away, I was wondering who people think are some of the top ‘25 recruits on teams’ radars or if people have tea about where athletes think they might wanna go. I’ve heard Spears is a very physical OH and that she’s a Texas lean. Heard Mullen (RS) and Campbell Flynn (S) are high on Nebraska’s list. I heard they like Kelly Kinney (OH) too, anyone know anything about her? Then there’s the really good in-state libero recruit Keri Leimbach who I imagine is going to have a lot of interest from plenty of schools.

5 esteemed programs? are we sure about that? A. FGCU is a good program. B. You're not going to announce it as "four esteemed programs and FGCU!" ...unless you meant Northwestern. Same principle applies.

C. one could even argue USC is no longer "esteemed" based on recent years.

Sigler is incredibly dynamic, but she's undersized. I can't imagine she'd be Nebraska's top target, but they will have tons of scholarships to give out for the 2025 year as I don't think that any of huge, much-hyped 2021 "dream class" are eligible to take a 5th year in 2025 as none of them redshirted in 2021. That's Krause (OH), Batenhorst (OH), Launstein (OPP), Orr (S), Rodriguez (L). They'll likely pick up the best setter and opposite they can find in the 2025 class, and maybe persuade that big time instate backrow player to walkon (*cough* pay through NIL). IMO, Nebraska would probably be best served to sign just one 2025 OH that already has a high level of pass to hit skills and stop there on the scholarship allocation and reserve them to poach players in the portal. Given the new rules that not only allow but actively encourage the big time programs with NIL resources to roster stack, it would seem borderline coaching malpractice to actually sign 4+ freshmen in any given class unless they are all Megan Hodge or Carlini type players. Weren't at least four of the five in that 2021 class supposed to be Hodge or Carlini type players? Let’s be frank, anybody who commits to Nebraska automatically is defined as a top ten recruit and next Hodge or Carlini. Take a minute to look at the Husker recruits in the past 5-6 years and evaluate how they have developed at Nebraska.

Let's be honest, they have 3 D1 tournament appearances in school history and only 2 post season wins in school history. So, no. I wouldn't say they're good.

FGCU is a program that has had 20+ wins every season since 2014 (19-11) that year. They regularly beat teams from bigger conferences. Good program doesnt mean Title contenders. It’s pretty straightforward imo, they win way more than they lose and don’t have bad culture issues with their players or coaching staff. That same standard should go across any conference or classification (P5/Mid Major/Small School/DII/DIII/Etc) FGCU Volleyball = Good Program.

You don’t think FGCU is a good program? Let's be honest, they have 3 D1 tournament appearances in school history and only 2 post season wins in school history. So, no. I wouldn't say they're good. So there are roughly 20 “good” programs in the country.
