Head spot at CSUN opening up. John Price announces his retirement. He was named the Head Coach (Director of Women's Volleyball) back in 2022, and spent time as an assistant for the men/women and was a head coach at Cal State Bakersfield for a while. Congratulations on your retirement Coach Price. You have held the program together for the next regime. CSUN lucked out when you agreed to step in. Now you can enjoy retirement living. For those who don't know, Coach Price is a legend in Southern California volleyball.

Big news from UC San Diego. Ricci Luyties no longer head coach
I pray for no transfers out, the last two seasons they shown real progress and would have made the Big West tournament had they been eligible.

Guessing admin wants someone big for their transition to D1. UCSD is such a great academic institution, so I'm hoping the players stick it out 🤞

I thought he did a great job with the program and was a good coach overall. He looked to have the ability to lead this program to the contender level in a few more years. They need to make a big splash hire to make the change worthwhile.

Luyties' firing is fishy. The AD's announcement is suspiciously terse considering Luyties had built UCSD VB into a competitive D1 program.
What's the real reason for the firing?

Big news at LBSU. Heard Tyler is leaving, and Natalie Morgan will serve as interim head coach.

Or UCSD? neither of those would make a lot of sense, would seem Northwester would have to be throwing a LOT of money at it. hope he stays, he's really re-built interest and confidence in the program in a short span

My guess would be taking Reft or Virtue spot as Asst for 2024 and locked in head coach for 2028 quad women’s NT. That’s the only thing big enough unless John Cook is retiring.

I really liked what Tyler has done for LB On the plus side the big west as a whole are getting some nice transfer players on some teams and after Melo lost a lot of players she seems to be bringing in some decent transfers and I do hope that her team can start rising

Weird to go from a head coaching position to an assistant position.
