With tonight's results, DR and Netherlands are both above Germany in World Ranking. It's all so close (and Canada is right there too). Belgium has lost some crucial points with recent losses but is still in there as well. It's gonna be really interesting to see how much separation will occur by the start of VNL 2024 or if they stay really jumbled up in the race to Paris. I get why, but it’s so funny to me that Belgium can lose to Sweden three times and lose like 7 points lol |

I get why, but it’s so funny to me that Belgium can lose to Sweden three times and lose like 7 points lol Lol - I know. I'm also probably being dramatic but 7 points just seems like such a big deal. It's looking like it could end up that close. The counterargument is that there's gonna be enough opportunity to 'win' your way into Paris via 2024 VNL, but, you want as much distance as possible going into that. |

Here is what I have (
(as logical outcomes)
1. USA | GER W, CHN W 11-1 (30)
2. Poland | BUL W, KOR W 10-2 (29)
3. Turkey | BRA W, CRO W 9-3 (29)
4. Brazil | TUR L, THA W 8-4 (24)
5. Italy | CRO W, JPN W 8-4 (21)
6. China | KOR W, USA L 7-5 (22) (Current set ratio: 23-16) China will have to lose two sets to Korea move below Serbia.
7. Serbia | DOM W, BUL W 7-5 (22) (Current set ratio: 22-22)
8. Japan | THA W, ITA L 7-5 (21)
9. Germany | SRB L, USA L 7-5 (20)
This gets changed if Japan beats Italy. But Serbia cannot be 8th unless they go five sets with DOM.

As long as everything else sorta goes to plan... the loser of Brazil-Turkey is going to get a better KO draw... (unless Italy finds a way to lose to Japan lol)

This is too much for me today... Serbia/China in the same day (one early morning, one late night U.S time), important Supreme Court ruling coming out today, flying today with this record # of travelers and needing to meet up with a buddy who is flying United Airlines who is having an internal crisis... but at least it's starting off well  |

Less interested in the China vs Dominican Republic match result than the reaction. The enraged Chinese fan reaction I read always help me to improve my Chinese, hehe.
The fans are demanding Cai Bin be fired and to call back Lang Ping to coach. The fans are calling Cai Bin a pigheaded moron (their words), who makes it too easy for opponents given the fact he always stick with the same roster (not quite true in all cases, but I digress). Wang Yunlu in particular was also a target of fan's wrath, saying she doesn't hold a candle compared to Zhang Changning. That she has no place on the China team roster and she should be sent home at once. Those were the more ..mild criticism. The more nasty ones.. well, it got so bad that Wang had to call police over online harassment.
Some are saying Zhu Ting needs to return at once...while others say even Zhu can't save the team given how totally incompetent Cai Bin is.

Serbia wins the 4th 30-28!!! What a performance especially by Boskovic and Uzelac there at the end. Germany has been so fun to watch this VNL and I'm glad they're in the finals I don’t think Germany is guaranteed a spot OOP well imma need them to get it together then |
