I know Germany's schedule started off light, but, I didn't realize just how fortunate they really were. Germany really got to face all four of the bottom VNL teams: Thailand, Croatia, Bulgaria, and South Korea in the VNL. They avoided Turkey, Italy, and Canada.. three matches they easily could have all lost. Yup. This is why I have a problem with the tournament not being a complete round robin AND having teams relegated. Something has to change. I say relegate the lowest three teams at the bottom of the table and promote 3 from the challenge cup. Teams shouldn't be able to buy core team status. That is such a bad business model, IMO. IA it's actually ridiculous SK is still in, what's the point of having challenger teams if a team that bad gets to stay in. |

Santarelli’s coaching style, openness, pleasing disposition, energy have endeared him to the Turkish fan base thus far. He will get some grace in losses for quite a while. He presents very differently than Gio Guidetti. And they’re not mad about it. |
