The restrictions to the number of matches allowed in the NCAA will affect the total numbers too. I think women’s programs are allowed to schedule 32 and mens programs are only allowed 23. But that’s without looking it up. Is that right? So if UH mens program were allowed to schedule more games they might have higher revenue.

I think the Warriors have something like 19 home matches scheduled and the Wahine had 17 home matches in 2023.

UH Manoa arena $sports$ (collegefactual.com) In the black: Women's volleyball ~ $300k In the red: all the rest. - Men's volleyball ~ -$191k - Men's basketball ~ -$800k - Women's basketball ~ -$1,138k Men and Women volleyball combined are in the black. Men and Women's basketball combined are in the red, by close to -$2 million. I'm also surprised that MVB doesn't generate a profit margin, based on recent attendance figures I would've guessed the program was now operating in the black.

It might be operating in the black currently. The date ranges on the data could be as old as 2016

Just renewed my tickets...I am stoked! Every year at this time I feel like I've gotten my Christmas presents early. Santa, I've been a good boy, for Christmas 2023 I hope that Mandic ends up back on the Warrior roster. :-)

Paid attendance for Hawai'i Men's Basketball (from NCAA Statistics): 2015-16: 141,637 (cumulative); 7,082 (per game). Erin Ganot's first season. 2016-17: 118,444; 6,234 2017-18: 115,879; 5,794 2018-19: 99,849; 5,527 2019-20: 114,333; 5,717 2020-21: 0; 0 2021-22: 47,698; 3,407 2022-23: 92,527; 5,140 The collegefactual.com data states that from its 2016-2019 combined sources data, that Hawai'i Men's Basketball is in the red to the tune of ~ -$800K/year. The NCAA Stats site shows that under Ganot, his 1st season (2015-16) he achieved peak paid attendance. Throw out the covid year and the following season, and the trend is still clearly down from the peak. For the program to somehow be in the black currently, they'd have to have either raised ticket prices dramatically, cut costs dramatically, or found some loose new media money streams between the office couch cushions.

Paid attendance for Hawai'i Men's Volleyball (from NCAA Statistics): Charlie Wade, head coach; Milan Zarkovic, assistant coach. 2015-16: 61,180 (cumulative); 3,599 (per game avg.). 2016-17: 68,283: 3,794 2017-18: 65,546; 3,856 2018-19: 83,362; 5,210 2019-20: 52,333; 5,233 2020-21: 7; 1 2021-22: 72,901; 4,050 2022-23: 126,385; 6,652
Hawai'i Men's Volleyball lead the nation in volleyball attendance in all but the covid year. Collegefactual.com data states that from its 2016-2019 combined sources data, that Hawai'i Men's Volleyball is in the red to the tune of ~ -$190K/year. However, throw out the covid year and the following season, and Men's Volleyball is clearly in an uptrend. Likely they were in the black last season. With the relatively weak schedule for this season I doubt they'll top last year, but I'd expect they'll be in the black again or nearly so.

Does anyone know when the pre-season poll comes out? We are less than a month away from opening day.
