We literally haven’t seen any of those TEENAGERS on the court lol please stop this narrative it’s so weird to me. Sakanoko is in a better position to start than a bunch of kids who haven’t played at this level yet… Agreed! Since Spyros' injury, Louis' improvement has been seemingly vertical. Every phase of his game, except for his serving, has gone to another level. Hawaii was blessed when they landed him late in 2023. His progress has certainly progressed in such a small time frame. But I agree with you....his serve makes me IRRAZZZZZ for days!!!! Hahahahah

When BWC championship comes around pretty soon. WHo will be seated 1,2,3,4? I know LBSU should be 1,but if they lost two matches by Irvine? Who will be seated 2,3,and four?

i’m not sold on louis sakanoko starting next year. i feel like with the talent we have coming in, he would be a great option for “next man up.” one of the outsides or opposites struggle then louis comes in to give a different look, similar role this year before the chakas injury. The team has talent coming in, but no one really targeting Sakanoko's role on the team in an immediate form. The OHs they have coming in are Roure (already expected to start), and Kearney and Wade, both of whom are native right sides who are definitely going to need time to get acquainted, both with the side shift and the passing responsibility.

Agreed. And I think between him and Thiim....looks like Charlie them are banking on Sakanoko. People forget he came in late into the program and never had the opportunity to participate in the off season strength training and workouts. So I think with that under his belt and the staffing working with him....he has huge upside next season for sure.

Regarding Sakanoko, from what I understand, he was not a starter on the France U22 team but I think the team is ranked in the top 5 in the world so the France team was loaded.
Being a reserve on a top 5 team in the world still means that he is part of the country’s elite level player. In other word….he is a very good volleyball player. Just because he is inconsistent or not dominant like some want him to be doesn’t mean he is not playing at high level. He is still young in terms of playing D1 ball and is still working to fit into the team. I think he will definitely start next season and will be even better after off season training and more reps with Tread.
I don’t know what Louis’ plan for the off season but even if he doesn’t go back France and train , I think we have enough of a winning culture here that he can stay here work out and improve.
I remember Rado used to just hang out with the Worsley during the off season and work out in Moraga. I think Louis, Keoni, Tread, Kurt, Justin Todd, Finn and whomever they can round up can work out as a team and improve team chemistry. Eleu’s dad runs a volleyball club so they can access a place to workout anytime they want.
Going back home and rejoining the NT may not always be a good deal. He might not get the reps he needs and would be better off staying here in the US and train.
If Adrien, Kristian, Matthew and Ofeck can find their way to Hawaii early in the summer, it will be even better. The team can get a head start in working out before even school starts in August.
Some of the players will also help coach youth club volleyball around the island so it would not be a bad deal for most of the players to remain in Hawaii to work out.
