I think we all knew but Oguz leaving. Can’t blame him. Wade didn’t give him valuable playing time or any incentive to stay.

I think saying Kauling wasn't given an ample opportunity is correct. But Oguz proved time again when he was put in, he couldn't for some reason terminate. His timing with contacting the ball during live game situations was always off. And the only thing that worked for him was his serve. I wish him the best but Oguz was given opportunity at times even against weaker competition and couldn't put it together. He looked uncomfortable and you could see it in his facial demeanor every time he was put in. Like he couldn't get use to playing in front of a large crowd or something.

I think we all knew but Oguz leaving. I’m one of those who called it. I hope I’m wrong about my JT transfer prediction

I think we all knew but Oguz leaving. I’m one of those who called it He should go to a smaller school where he can start and be happy!!! All the best, obviously he’s game wasn’t at the level to compete in the Big West.

All the best, obviously he’s game wasn’t at the level to compete in the Big West. his first school at Jamestown was a good fit, but maybe he can thrive at a smaller SoCal school to be in a more exciting place

From what some people have been saying, you may have to add Kurt Nusterer to that Hawaii list.

Next season, it will be a two way battle for the BWC Tournament Title, between LBSU and UC Irvine. Both teams will have enough coming back that they will be head and shoulders over everyone else. Do not see Hawaii challenging for the BWC Tournament Title, or even getting into the NCAA Tournament next year. Main reason, Hawaii will have talent, but they will be extremely young. Being so young they will not be consistent. But watch out, come 2026 and 2027, Hawaii will be a team that will be awfully difficult to beat. Hawaii could even win back to back National Titles, maybe even in 2028, if Charlie Wade can come up with a Setter, for that 2028 team.

UCI won't have any experienced setter at the helm with those returning pins. That's a question mark if I ever saw one. LBSU losing more starters than us! Hawaii will be young but talented. It will be a dog fight next year. But to count Hawaii out is crazy.

Here is hoping, and praying, Charlie Wade hits the transfer portal hard. Hawaii needs a lot of experienced D1 Level players for next year. You really think there's anyone in the transfer portal who wants to come play for Coach Wade after seeing what he did with an All-american transfer? Coming from a big Hawaii and Wade supporter, I 1000% agree. Kauling was done absolutely dirty. We don't even have to talk about the setting aspect of things. Let's just talk about leadership. We can all agree that we were in desperate need of a leader, whole time it was right there... On the bench? Absolutely insane. Wishing Kauling the best smh

Kauling injured his ankle warming up before the first match of the year. He was out for a number of weeks with the injury. By then Tread was installed as the starter. I do think Wade could have brought Kauling in to set more when Tread was struggling with his location during the middle and later part of the season, but that’s just me as a spectator. Hard to say what was going on in the practice gym because I wasn’t there. Once Kauling missed the early part of the season, I can see Wade sticking to one setter and let Tread grow through his struggles. It is a tough decision, but one Wade made. Can’t say Kauling was done dirty. Might have been different if he didn’t get hurt early.
