Italia kind of abused the US block all day (along with Annie's right back defense) and while I agree that Rettke is slow to the pins and gets fooled, O'Neal's 3 blocks and two touches is not better than two blocks and 5 touches ... and I'm not sure that the eye-test is that much kinder to an unbiased eye (though it's hard to claim any sort of unbiased eye as a UW fan). O'Neal is promising but I think her block also needs a lot of work at the international level. Her poor collegiate opponents next year as she works on that...
Really interested to see Butler vs Turkiye tomorrow Sunday and South Korea tomorrow and see if she can repeat her blocking performance. Those double-digit kills by Donna and O'Neal are nice but I'm much more interested in double-digit block+touches

Dana already has professional experience and if she wants to be involved in Paris , she needs to hugely improve her lateral moving speed/read opponent setter. I do not know why KK left her for the WCH, is it because of her blocking ability? Her blocking ability is obviously not as strong as the Polish blocker who seems to have the same height as Dana. She often cannot close the block quickly enough. The other middle blocker(I do not know her) looks like a college student and she seems doing OK.
