The more I think about it, the more I like it for her. i hope we see more commits like this. even as a Texas fan, it gets annoying seeing top recruits go somewhere where they won’t play for 2-3 seasons when theres so many other top programs where they could lol |

Yeah, I agree it's a great fit for her v/a/v playing time! The more I think about it, the more I like it for her. i hope we see more commits like this. even as a Texas fan, it gets annoying seeing top recruits go somewhere where they won’t play for 2-3 seasons when theres so many other top programs where they could lol 10000% -- I think more folks need to recognize that fundamentally sound and well-coached teams with a lot of kids ranked in the 15-30 range are more than competitive with teams that hoard talent. Louisville and Pitt the last few years have been such good examples of that. And she'll still be playing in the B1G, so it's a win for the league  |

I posted this in a different thread a month or so ago, but re the elite setters for the 2025 class, below are the teams that will lose their starting setter / heir apparent setter by 2025, leaving an opening for a talented freshmen to step in on day one: USC Pitt Louisville It doesn't surprise me in the least that USC went hard after a top setter and that an elite setter would opt to play there. What surprises me is when elite setters choose to go to programs who will already have an elite starting setter playing for at least two more years and will actively get recruited over in any given year. |

I don't find it as annoying as you do. oh it doesn’t mean I don’t hope #1-5 go to Texas every year, I would just prefer the top talent be spread out between more teams when they’re not🤣🤣 (I actually hope all the best players go to arizona though) Every night while recruiting is going on I sit beside my bed and say a little prayer, "Dear Baby Volleyball Jesus, Please don't let Texas acquire too many good players this year, either out of high school or through the portal. It upsets me that a lot of times they have a talent advantage over the opponents they play against. I find this unfair even if it's in the favor of the team I root for. I'm tired of winning conference titles, making deep runs in the NCAA tournament, and winning a couple of national championships in the last 10 years. Give other programs a better chance! In fairness we pray. Amen." |

But I suspect your thinking that those picking Texas did the right thing. |
