Pac-12 season has officially begun! Livestats for UW v. UTEP lionsports.net/sidearmstats/wvball/mediaUW is playing a 6-2 apparently. Pertofksy/Wilson and Litzau/Barton on the right. Wilmes/Endsley on the OH. No video for this match? Not that I know of. |

I know it's just Montana St., but OSU at least looks competent. PAC starting off 0-2 this morning. Losses by WA and AZ. Hope resting on Oregon State to complete their win after getting the first set. WSU coming up soon. |

5 set losses are the WORST.....just think, a few point swings here or there and we could be 10-5.
I will say that the most disappointing here is Arizona. They just return too much to continually be pedestrian. I was hoping with the coaching change we'd get the Arizona that matched the on paper talent. Still a lot of season left to play to turn it around obviously, but so far Arizona gets a big fat F for helping the Pac in recent times. I know we hurl a lot of shame at the LA schools for the decline in the Pac-12 prestige in volleyball with their lackluster results despite the history, recruiting, and resources, but Arizona is surely right behind them.
Lets finish the week strong Pac!

I agree, Arizona has veteran talent! They should be performing a lot better. Let's hope for a better tomorrow!

Some expected wins today, and some wins that were nice to see by CAL and ASU. Some losses that could have been wins-OSU and WA's first matches losing in 5. AZ not showing up in their first match, and Utah going down to UVU was not great. Several of these teams have new coaches and figuring out their lineups still. UCLA and USC's losses weren't bad, as both of those teams were ranked or receiving votes. Tough to start matches out against tough teams when you have some ?s in your lineup. Hopefully they adjust and play stronger tomorrow. Some players for these teams just did not show up today though. Endsley for Washington, Leverette for UCLA, Tabron for COL, Wilson for AZ, K. Williams for USCand Jardine being the go to OH for Utah is not a recipe for success. She is way to inconsistent and hit only 0.42.
