Yes...I am perfectly Ok with preserving history whether terrible or not. Sort of like gathering arrow heads when we destroyed the Indians home. Do you think its disgraceful to collect arrow heads. Soros is interesting and believe it or not was not at all political when he started getting involved. It's very weird to me that you equate collecting the trappings of power from one of the richest and most powerful yet most vile and blood thirsty regimes the earth has known, with scavenging every day trappings of an oppressed people who were largely systematically wiped out. |

In what country is voting not a farce? Well Scandinavian countries for instance. They don't allow money in politics, they tax the hell out of the rich, highest unionization rates in the World. Highest standard of living. They rate the happiest people on Earth, best healthcare, most press freedoms, rate low in corruption. Nobody is perfect, but they make Americans look like savages. Ok. There are major differences in large diverse countries and small Scandinavian countries. NYC and LA have a combined population greater than Sweden. Is it possible to achieve those low levels of corruption in any world power? |

And it should be remembered that they can afford all that good stuff because they don't spend a ton on the military because they rely on American protection.
