Initially, in the first set when Kelsey was blocked multiple times, I thought they were going to switch her out, but instead they took out Bajema. Bajema seems really stale. I thought the defense was amazing. Though Poland didn't do themselves any favor by serving in the net multiple times. Also, the polish libero was great except when she had to set the second ball often trapping Stysiak. Overall, Poland definitely seems like a contender, showing that their world championship showing was not a fluke. It's crazy that they're still missing some of their star players in setting and I recall their other starting OH and maybe MB at the World champs did not play at all today. OR I may be misremembering.

Oh my word, there is not enough coffee in the world to keep me awake this morning! I'm definitely catching the replay for Bulgaria tomorrow, fun as this was to watch.

Micha looked smooth out there. Her height did not seem to be a big factor on the block. Looks like she's our number 1 setter as of now.

Rettke is really struggling with her blocking. If I only read the narrative here and didn't look at stats, I'd think Dana was the worst player on the court. Seems she outplayed Washington. Imagine if Micha could and would set middle more than once a set...Cook might actually get a few more kills because OHs weren't being double blocked. What's more worrisome is Micha makes JT look pedestrian. That's not good.

We need O'Neal on the Paris team. Her and Hancock would be a great pair. She's a smooth operation low error and is just steady

The passing was off and the middles for Poland out played USAs to a "T" it was not easy for Hancock to get them in one on one situations but she was able to get the pins where need be...Washington was good on the block not Dana, they were more ready to block Washington than Dana...I still don't see Washington as a lock for the OG since O'Neal and Butler bring the same thing and more to the table Maybe the statistics are waay off, but your perception doesn't match the statistics and that was exactly my point. Washington had a few more blocks, but she had fewer positive touches. Seems a wash based on the statistics with regard to block.

Dana’s block struggled early on, but she settled in as the match went on and got a good amount of block touches. Both Dana and Washington struggled with blocking the Polish middles (especially Korneluk), but from what I watched, Dana’s blocking was stronger than in week one.
