I saw the movie this weekend. My thoughts.
I don't know that I would describe this as a Christian movie. I don't think the word 'Jesus' was ever mentioned in the movie - not even sure 'God' was mentioned or the 'Bible'. The movie really had very little (nothing) to do with Christian faith. That said - Evangelical Churches are all over this movie and Evangelicals are flocking to see it. Of course, the subject matter is of great importance to Evangelicals - which is the source for their support for the movie.
The quality of the movie was good to very good - this didn't look like some kind of cheap production movie.
I have no idea of the actual quantification of the problem addressed in the movie - my guess is that it is rather substantial. The porn and sexual trafficking industry is large and a real problem. Awareness on this issue is a good thing - not sure what the solutions would be. The story of this guy making a difference in the lives of kidnapped children is an interesting story.
There are other very good movies on this subject - even Christian movies like 'Priceless' (which I really liked). Not sure how 'Sound of Freedom' should be considered the definitive movie on this subject. Heck - 'Slumdog Millionaire' (which I think was a great movie) hit on some of these same themes. But if this movie is going to create real awareness - then I am very much good with that.

The production company, Angel Studios, is mainly known for producing movies aimed at Evangelicals. They are marketing the movie to Evangelicals not really because it is a "Christian movie" but because that's who they know how to market movies to.
Also, how Fing offensive to imply that sexual slavery "is of great importance to Evangelicals" as if it is not repugnant to everyone else, too.
