Maybe. but in the long term, winning this VNL isnt important. Keeping someone like Chiaka healthy is. I dont know why he waited for JT. yes but you and I both know it’s not just this tournament or even close to it… he’s been keeping injured players on rosters for years or not letting them play Remember when he dragged Harmotto on one leg to Rio and then she had to play when someone got hurt and it lost us a razor-thin semifinal? |

OK but how do y'all think Guidetti is feeling right now??  he would have won them this match too lol. He never had Vargas no he wouldn't. Turkiye at the end of set 2 and 3 panicked as usual and started making mistakes. If it wasn't Santarelli's calm demeanour, they could have lost it. Guidetti, especially towards the end, has become very harsh and angry towards players. He was saying things like not trusting the players at all. Vargas didn't make the difference today. |

winning the VNL is obviously the goal. but its time to look long term and figure out what we're going to do for IOQT. Its very obvious that we dont have a lineup and most of the VNL was not used trying to figure that out. I dont think there's any other country that has an many questions as we do. This right here is why I'm just so deflated as a USA fan. I wish we were like every other country and just took the same 14 players to the entire tournament so that we wouldn't have to watch our team completely sh*t the bed in the finals of one of the rare tournaments we get to HOST. This isn't a good look for this team and Karch and co should face some consequences, but they won't. I'm seriously considering rooting for another team moving forward. Can you imagine even more of the backlash Karch would get if he only selected 14 players for a tournament format that’s perfect for trying out different players. Believe me, with all the homers and the amount of US athletes competing for a spot, VT would be even more complaints of athletes not chosen. We also wouldn’t have breakouts like Lanier, Skinner, O’Neal etc. |

If gui was the coach, I'm 100% sure that he would have played with Baladin-Saliha(Meliha) + Akoz as libero.
Vargas wouldn't be enough.
He sent ilkin and derya to Islamic solidarity games last year lol.

i dont think its an excuse as much as its just unfortunate. I think Karch bringing Carlini fully knowing she was not 100% is wrong and should be ridiculed. I dont care what this board thinks of Ashley or Tori... a backup setter is better than none. If you're not going to bring a backup... roster jordan or something. or someone to pass. i dont know im just rambling now lol agree. But also it seems like usa will bench their starters for the smallest injuries ever and I think they need to stop doing that… I’m not saying force players to play injured but like everyone has something nagging and you don’t see other top NT missing starters this often gunes is battered, yet played the majority of the vnl. she slays. |

Theres not a huge change in the team from last year vs this year other than Poulter not being the setter. Did Poulter make that much of an impact for them to win it all last year? Or is Turkey just a whole different improved team?
