Was trying to look at RichKern to see what teams lost but then realized this is still 5th COVID year & some Sr's may have stayed.

I think Nova has a shot to sneak into one of those remaining #5 and #6 spots for the tourney.

Anyone want to take a crack at who will finish in the top 6 this year? Can’t really make up my mind lol Last season we had four teams within one win of each other (Xavier 11-7, St. John's, UCONN, Butler 10-8) and a DePaul team that had a down year. It's too tough to pick right now. My question is "Can a third team make it to the tourney?"

IMO, the only path for a 3rd team to make it to the NCAA tourney is to upset Creighton and Marquette in the Big East Tournament.

Yeah I agree, an autobid through winning the conference tournament would be the only way. I haven’t checked every team’s schedule but the ones I’ve seen so far don’t have the SOS that would get them in at an at large bid.

I 100% agree with both of the above posts. I do wish that the BEast had a couple more teams that could make the top 25, or at least that Marquette and Creighton could learn from Louisville and Pittsburgh and become top echelon teams.

I dont think that's likely though. Im looking at non-cons.... oh dear... lol none of them could get an at large without beating CU/MU in the regular season trojansc for RPI... is it better for the conference to win a ton in the nonconference or play good teams? DePaul, Villanova, St johns, and Xavier all are... not good teams

I don’t know to be honest. I think for starters Creighton and Marquette would have to do great in their non-conference games (which is really strong) because otherwise I think losing to one of the 4 teams during the regular season you’ve mentioned might just knock out the whole conference from the at large conversation. I’m not an expert on RPI, so I’m just sharing my thoughts on it. I’m sure trojansc can fills us in better on that.
