In 2023 the MWC had a few tough teams, including Utah State and Colorado State who got some solid noncon wins and pushed top teams, while Fresno State came on strong at the end of the season to win the conference tournament. Utah State graduated a lot of starters this year, whereas Colorado State and Fresno State return most of theirs. I expect those two teams to be at the top of the standings. UNLV was very up and down last year, and they lost their best player, who transferred for graduate school. I suspect they may struggle again this year.

Thank you for updating. I do agree Colorado State and Fresno State will probably be at the top of the conference. UNLV picked up an OH jc transfer who won the NJCAA National Championships, was named to the all-tournament team & vball mag's player of the year. She is also on the Peruvian national team. Wondering if she'll be anything like UNLV's last jc transfer from Florida...

Utah State will be young, but I think they’ll be plenty competitive by the time conference play comes around. Their coach is solid. I’d also add Wyoming to the mix. Very balanced offense, good passing and with an underrated setter. They just have to replace their middle (who funnily enough transferred to Utah State).

Right, I dont put it past Utah State to still do well, but just not quite like their dominance last year. Wyoming is always in the mix. They started off so well last year, but didnt finish well. Maybe this year they improve on that.

These ratings seem about right, but I wonder if Fresno state should be higher. They didn't lose many key players and did win the mwc tourney last year. Utah state should do well, but lost alot of starters, whereas Colorado state retained most, so it makes sense.

I heard both his international kids are upgraded and he brought the middle from Wyoming who is really good. We all know he is a phenomenal coach and this might be his most talented team
