Would they would have to forfeit again? If you had enough seniors on the team, would they change their minds for the tournament? It's one thing to forfeit one regular season match, it's another to forfeit a chance to win the conference or a chance at a bid. Seems pretty hypocritical if they did that. "Oh, we'll forfeit a regular-season match, but not a match that really *costs* us anything important."

"Oh, we'll forfeit a regular-season match, but not a match that really *costs* us anything important." The whole mountain west is hypocritical. For 2 years, across 36 matches, teams played against SJSU. Election year, the year the conference fractures over money, and all that’s left are the geographically undesirable. Small state and/or school population schools (Hawaii, Wyoming, New Mexico, Nevada) or traditional d2 school (Air Force).

Does Fleming (hopefully that’s how you spell her last name) have another year of eligibility? If so, do you think she would transfer out of SJSU after all this

Does Fleming (hopefully that’s how you spell her last name) have another year of eligibility? I think she does, but maybe not. She is listed as having played four years 2020, 2022, 2023, and 2024. Since 2020 was the free COVID year, she might still be able to play another year. I suppose it would depend on why she didn't play in 2021 and whether that cost her a season of eligibility. Sometime after 2020 and before 2022 is when she transferred to SJSU.

If B. Fleming has another year of eligibility, it would be understandable if she transferred to a different conference in which the games her team plays will not be forfeited by (many) opponents. She is from the DC area and I'd bet that Virginia, Georgetown, or Maryland would welcome her.

Standings as of 11/4.
Colorado St 10-2, W5 SJSU 10-3, W4 Fresno St 9-3, W2 Utah St 10-4, W4 San Diego St 7-5 Boise St 7-6 Wyoming 6-6 Nevada 4-8 UNLV 3-9 New Mexico 2-10 Air Force 1-11
The top 4 seem a lock for the conference tourney. The last two spots still up for grabs. Surprising UNLV is doing so poorly this year.

They likely wouldn’t have won those matches that were forfeit. They just struggled at home against the worst team in the conference.

They just struggled at home against the worst team in the conference. So? They still count as wins (for the conference). And I'm not sure what that has to do with the PAC. Although ... it will be interesting to see if the PAC sets any conference rules about transgender players, forfeits, or similar things. I am quite confident that the old PAC would have sided with inclusion, but the new PAC is much more heavily influenced by "red state" schools.

It's not like SJSU is the only school where this situation might exist.

It seems they've battled with injuries and just haven't been able to pull it together.

Meaning the five best schools are the ones leaving the conference They'll be fine. Hawaii (even if not the same) and Grand Canyon are coming.

Red as in the majority of the country? I think conferences will indeed make rules about males playing in women sports. Those rules will probably have an effect on the collegiate choices young women make.
