Minnesota’s (expected) primary DS, the libero from Turkey, is apparently not eligible to play yet. Ah. I did not know that. Any reason as to why? Haven’t heard for sure. Rumors that it was because class hadn’t started yet OR because she signed with an agent in Turkey a few months ago. But I’m not positive. Some have said she could miss half the season, which would be a huge blow for the Gophers because literally there are no other defensive players on the team. Hanson and Gray are the primary DS options who were both HS OH’s… and maybe Chloe Ng or Elise McGhie who are both setters.. |

There is something to be said for letting Landfair tough it out, knowing this is relatively meaningless in the big picture and she's gonna have to suck it up because everyone will be targeting her all season. okay fair point, but less about landfair and more about why my gifs won’t embed 😞 |

Curious, why is Landfair playing in the back row? She is hurting Minnesota back there. I can see if they want her to hit from the back row, but she is rarely set when she is in the back row. Wondering if Minnesota does not have a DS who can come in for Landfair in the back row.
