Not a new thing for my match threads, but in case people haven’t noticed… the player pics (and their names) in the possible starting lineup section are each links to that player’s roster page. You can, of course, see the entire roster by clicking on the “roster” link. The large team-logo images are links to the team’s main VB webpage.

Aug 29 (Tue) 7:00 PM CT History Last Meeting: Aug 31, 2022 – Texas won 3-1 Minnesota is 5-7 all-time against Texas
Did You Know? Minnesota has three different shades of maroon for official colors, and a corresponding set of three gold shades. I have been using the primary (medium) pair of maroon and gold, but the logo uses (close to) the dark shades of maroon and gold. Did you know that there was an official resources document with this information? More to the point, did you care? Light | Medium | Dark | Light | Medium | Dark |

(save) This is the Gophers' designated Maroon Out match - so wear your maroon, and not (just) gold. Whatever you do, do not wear burnt orange! The Gophers welcome Jenna Wenaas back to the Pavilion. While we are Minnesota Nice, she shouldn't expect quite as many cheers in the Pav as she got last season. I am guessing that Asjia O'Neal will not be starting on Tuesday, if she was in a boot on Saturday.

I haven't looked to see whether TX changed their lineup, and if so, what it was changed to. Also don't know who the TX LIB will serve for, and/or who the DS's sub (or serve?) for.
Any Longhorn who wants to educate me on the above... feel free to reply or msg me.

Any Longhorn who wants to educate me on the above... feel free to reply or msg me. O’Neal’s status is the bigger key. She was held out of both matches at Long Beach and was seen wearing a boot on Saturday. Doesn’t mean she won’t play against the Gophers. We simply don’t know. If she doesn’t play Elliott seems to be going with Phillips as his second middle along with Bergmark. He moved Kahahawai to the right side pin. Phillips served. If she does play my guess is that Elliott will play Phillips on the right side. Servers on Saturday were Skinner, Phillips, Halter, Barnes, Swindle, and Akana. If O’Neal plays she’ll serve instead of Phillips. Also, Texas will often move players around the front row depending on where they are in the rotation, so while Kahahawai is ostensibly on the right pin and Wenaas on the left, sometimes they’ll reverse that. Don’t see any reason why you should include that. It’s more of an FYI. I hope that helps.

Having the OH and OPP reverse their playing positions during the rotation when they are reversed L/R seems to be fairly common. In any event, I (try to) have the players in their rotation order, in Ro-1 (setter in service) regardless of where the players move to during play, or which rotation they start in. (Not saying I get the rotational order correct... but it is what I'm trying to do.)

I'm nervous for this one. Minnesota is good but Texas will be looking to redeem themselves from the first weekend loss. I hope Minnesota is up for this one - no let down.

TWO TICKETS FOR TEXAS MATCH FOR SALE. TICKETS SOLD!
We're season ticket holders and sadly 🙁 have to miss the Texas match, so we have two tickets available for the match on Tuesday. (August 29th at 7pm)
The seats are located in Section 110, Row 7, seats 17 and 18, (on the aisle)--we're asking $40 a piece for them. DM me if interested. They are mobile/electronic tickets, so would need a cell number or email to transfer. Payment by Venmo, Zelle or Apple Cash.
After this weekend, it would be great to beat a third Texas team this week! 😊🤞🏻

No, I did not?
I feel like the volleyball maroon is the darker of the shades.
Thanks for the head's up on maroon out.

The beginning of a gauntlet of a schedule for Minnesota. How they perform in this match will set the tone for the following matches against Florida, Stanford, and Oregon!

I'm nervous for this one. Minnesota is good but Texas will be looking to redeem themselves from the first weekend loss. I hope Minnesota is up for this one - no let down. I was high on Minnesota to start the season, experienced setter, tons of pin potential, athletic middles. Watched Baylor and TCU last night, the passing was iffy at times but the setting and pins were plenty to compensate. After 2 games Minnesota is playing a few levels above Texas on cohesiveness, especially offensively. Texas needs to figure some things out real fast to have a chance.
