If Texas figures out it’s serving, we’ll be able to hang. Of course passing and setting looked sketchy at times, but our blocking looks much improved from the start of last year if we can get our servers. There were stretches when we looked scary. I’m not ready to conclude that we’re as far behind as some of you others are. Personally. I think it’s bringing it together, passing would look good in stretches and hitters just couldn’t terminate, serving looked weak at times and the block and defense couldn’t compensate. Serving would step up and the passing would break down. I’m still optimistic the individual components are there it’s just a matter of how long before it all starts coming together. I’m an optimist and hope it comes together tomorrow night, but if doesn’t I just hope to see some improvement and will believe it will come together in time for the tournament. Progress has been made. Player of the match: Barnes The pins have got to get so much better OOS. |

All I gotta say is the people who kept saying “O’Neal isn’t that much of a factor” — or something along those lines, you don’t know squat about volleyball, or probably sports in general. Any team that loses their star player and leader right before a match is going to be thrown off. That was the only explanation for how horrendous Texas played against LBSU. But yeah, keep saying O’Neal doesn’t make a difference. #HOOKEM

Where is the Shaffmaster that people were raving about during the spring USAV training series? She never existed Much like when I watch Fairbanks in collegiate play, I can't understand the amount of attention USAV gives to these setters. This can't really be our future. |
