It's always funny to me how little heat Fields has on most of her swings. Obviously her athleticism lets her just hit over and put the ball where nobody is.

Kastl played out of position. Again, another case of where Hawaii (Shoji or Ah Mow) value ball handling over offense. Not a bad thing. Opposite is not an easy position to adjust to from OH at the NCAA level. That’s why you see a lot of middles out there when things get dicey. True OHs at the NCAA level may play a rotation on the right but they are almost always better on the left. The choice you make with someone like Kastl is do I take 3+ kills per set with a sub .200 hitting % on the left or try to throw her on the right and hope for the best? It was never a good fit. If current Hawaii coaching staff manage Paula the same, I fear her future is probably the same. It comes down to what chances you are willing to take as a coach. The current undersized lineup will win against most teams in D1. What’s going to move them beyond that? Kastl played outside when Croson was out and she was serviceable but not what she was hyped to be

Who wants this more? Who can keep their errors down? USC hitting more winners, but also more errors 3 to Hawaii's 0.

Fields' arm is going to fall off by about mid October. I just saw on live stats she had 72 attacks. 72. I can’t wrap my head around that.

It's always funny to me how little heat Fields has on most of her swings. Obviously her athleticism lets her just hit over and put the ball where nobody is. It’s also a bit of a shame that she’s taking so many swings she can’t bring the heat. Girl has a heavy arm.
