China losing to Canada...gotta hurt for Chinese fans. If China can't even beat Canada, what chances does it have against the likes of Serbia? Or DR even? On the bright side, it may increase the possibility of Cai Bin getting fired. That is what you prefer, right?  |

Chinese fans have criticized Cai Bin of always sticking to the same starting roster. Not only does this make China easily scouted by opposing teams, it also makes them vulnerable to injuries. Once several key players get injured, their whole team strategy breaks down, because sticking to the same roster means subs can't easily come in and replace the key player's role. This rigidity and inflexibility is an achille heel's of Cai Bin. The fact Cai Bin isn't known for having an ability to turn his team around when they are down in sets sure doesn't help. In any case, it will be a big loss of face if China cannot even secure an Olympic berth in this tournament. Cai Bin will likely be forced to exit as a result. |
