both will qualify regardless. Not sure how much i care It wouldn’t be impossible for Canada to overtake Japan. But, it would take some crazy%3 stuff. Would have been a lot closer if Germany (or Canada) could have qualified directly here. I am still salty that Canada was leading like 20-13 in the fourth set and blew the lead to DOM subs and letting Gaila get back into the match with her serve (that and King only setting Maglio three, crappy sets).

5 time VB Olympian is indeed a very rare club, but there's only one in the rarest club: Not sure if Maja can make it to 6, but a healthy Bosko might. Those shorts though That was the style

I think you're confusing that with the third set. Canada ended up holding on to win, 25-23.

Canada starters will need to stay healthy. Most of them have played every set in the 2022 VNL, WC, 2023 VNL, and this qualifier.
Canada Women's National Team Press Release:
Needed immediately: Quality outside hitter with proven passing abilities. Also, need a Middle blocker with offensive/defensive abilities but will accept a quality blocker. Apply immediately.
Jost and Murmann will have to find a way to get some reps in and improve their positioning as well.
Not having Cross (and in my opinion Van Buskirk) at this tournament was costly. At one point, Maglio had more block points then the team combined (something like 23 for Maglio and 23 for the team combined). The production at the second middle blocker position was lacking at the VNL and here.

although we wouldn't have beaten DOM and SRB A anyways.

We will never know about the DOM match, but that was a turning point in the match for Canada. At least they beat the Netherlands... Finishing third still hurts and they could very well be the last team out for the Olympics too. If Alexa retires, Canada is going to have to find/develop a quality hitter as well.
