Plak forgot she was backrow and hit the overpass after the bic. I can’t remember seeing that happen before.

Also like Netherlands is probably ticked that Dominicana is not resting its starters who already play too many sets/matches/tournaments etc.
NED is now desperate for salvaging ranking points..

NED-DOM going 5. With Netherlands needing every ranking point - even losing in 5 is better than losing in 4 if they don't win this 5th set.
Brayelin wouldn't have been off had DR not qualified, but Betty was in for the last stretch of the 4th set. Not great for Canada - they would have loved DOM to just finish off NED right then and there.

If Netherlands wins this set - they will be about 31 points ahead of Canada.
If Netherlands loses this set - they will be about 22 points ahead of Canada.
22 is manageable in a 12-match preliminary VNL. It's still tough, but, it's a whole lot better than 31.

LOL not DOM making this match go on as long as possible
14-12 DR with two more match points.. T/O Kwiek
Marte should have just given it to Jineiry on one of those opportunities! They haven't got her as involved here this tournament (wondering if they want to limit her swings, she's had notorious shoulder issues)

NED cuts the lead from 12-7 to 14-12, and loses on the service error.

Fitting that DR says goodbye to us on this international season in 5 sets yet again.
Not sure I'll be awake through the Brazil-Japan game, but that is a winner-take-all game about to start in ~10 minutes. I'm pulling for Brazil.

That’s a wrap from Turkiye. swept Belgium. 7-0 this week. Unbeatable since 22 games. See you in Paris! 👋🏼 so glad they gave Zehra off today but Eda shouldve been rested also.
