Predictions for tonight’s matches? I think OR wins 3-1 vs OSU, and I think Stanford also drops a set but goes 3-1 against MN. My head says Oregon should still be able to beat OSU. It was just one game, Minnesota was better than they played last week and came in hungry. But my Oregon volleyball trauma has me fearing that the disappointing close loss leads to a spiral the team takes half a season to recover from. We'll see how it turns out. Oregon should take out tOSU pretty easily IMO. tOSU's passing and floor D aren't in the same league as the Ducks. Yes, Oregon doesn't serve as tough as Stanford, but I believe it's tough enough to put tOSU OOS enough to gain a comfortable win. Minnesota has weaknesses both in their passing and back row D, so that could be enough to swing things in Stanford's favor. However, as a counter, Minnesota has hitters who are dangerous OOS. How fresh will Minnesota be after a tough 5-setter? Maybe Minnesota is fat and happy after their win against the Ducks. Stanford's OHs, namely Kipp and Rubin, had too many unforced errors last night also. They will need to clean some of those up. |
