Rubin has been impressive, and to get 4+ kills per set against a top 10 team with a team that has so many other weapons is almost unheard of.
She was California Gatorade POY, Mimi got PAC and National FOY (both from California), Rubin is on a mission this season. I kind of like the class rivalry.

With that leg brace, I think not! Likely some ligament damage in her knee. That brace is providing substitute/additional structure.

Again I just don't think this is all that wild. Rubin is very good. If she's on, she's going to get set and she has the ability to get kills. To suggest that a player having a relatively big night when they're not typically the first or maybe even second option offensively is almost "unheard of" is inflating the results far too much, imo. That's just the nature of top five teams. They have 2-4 players who can potentially dominate on any given night.

Well, just call me impressed as she has definitely worked to take her game up a notch from an impressive Freshman season.

Attendance Saturday night was 3,403; not B!G standards, but pretty good for a weekend night in the San Jose area.
Particularly with zero students, no band, no cheer/dance squads...plus, a zillion things to do in PA and Silicon Valley!

Yeah, that's life in the Bay Area, most days it seems like I'm busy doing something close to nothing.

Only if: one doesn't reside there; one knows basically nothing about the area; and/or one is simply trolling, without substance, to be contrary. Gigs, music and nightspot venues solely between Redwood City and Mountain View: 1) Club Fox, 2) Redwood City Community Theater, 3) The Guild Theatre, 4) Music@Menlo, 5) Pure Nightclub, 6) Stanford Live, 7) Frost Ampitheater, 8) Dala's Nest House Concerts, 9) Music on the Square, 10) Shoreline Ampitheater and 11) the Fox Theatre. And these are just the best spots only between MV and RC.
