I don't know what Stanford's hitting percentage was outside of Kipp's -.118, but given that it was .302 with it, I'd say it was too damn high!

Baird with 15 kills, .560 Francis with 7 kills, .583 Miner with 2 kills, .500 The rest below 200 Well, technically Rubin was right at .200, and Vincini only took 8 swings. Both Baird and Francis hit at an extremely high rate of efficiency for sure. |

He has his players serving fearlessly at the service line, and it shows. As the year progresses that's going to pay off in better attacks with fewer errors, IMO. It's especially potent when you're siding out as efficiently as Stanford is. Every time they score a point from the service line it's a drip drip drip of death because the opponent can't be as efficient. |

A real validation of Hamblyās āservice errors mean nothingā mantra. Iām going to guess that OSU is not the best passing team in the country, but stillā¦ Stanford absolutely served them off the court. |

I know that's what the stats say, but (I am pretty sure) Miner had two successful dumps, and then bombed a kill on an OSU overpass that was basically a perfect set to her. |

Just got back from the game. I was expecting Baird to be the error prone player and kipp to lead the team in kills, but i was shocked as the night progressed at how bad kipp played and hamblyās decision to not sub her out and conversely how efficiently Baird played. Stanford as a serving team is very good and served laser beams. Ogilvie serving passing and digging drew oohs and aahs from the crowd. Her passing created 3s in terms of offensive opportunities time and time again. Vicini is a beast and seemed to be at two places at once at times i was super impressed with her play. Francis is pretty good too. Miner is a very good setter. There were times that Stanfordās passing and serve receive almost committed overpasses for Ohio, but miner would go up and push a tempo set to the outside. I feel at times she was too good because her own teammates were caught flat footed and did not take advantage of the many offensive opportunities she created. If kipp wasnāt so error prone it would have been lights out, oh well hopefully she can shake it off.
