Wachholtz hasn’t been playing OH and will only play on the RS if Duckworth doesn’t play. I’d assume Maya is playing so Hatch slides over to RS and Wachholtz unfortunately doesn’t get much time.

Last year State had their 3rd largest crowd ever for this matchup.
Always a big match for the entire state. Wonder if Xtream will be sold out for this one?

I would agree with all of this. Would love for the Hawks to pull off an upset, of course, but my hope is that regardless of the outcome, the Hawks:

1. pass/receive at a consistently higher level than they have recently

2. play with fire and aggressiveness; the Hawks have some firepower so don't get tentative!

Will be very interesting to see how this plays out tonight for sure. GO HAWKS!

Xtream is a gorgeous facility and great volleyball venue, but it’s still over 2.5 miles from campus.

I'm kind of bummed that Iowa State and UNI aren't playing each other this season. That series tended to produce exciting matches.
I wonder if one or both coaches just didn't want to play each other, or more likely the scheduling just didn't work out; perhaps due to the new scheduling rule resulting in more 3-day tournaments instead of the old 3-matches-over-Friday/Saturday, and those extra days (considering travel days as well) made the usual midweek match problematic.
