Excited for this one, I’m giving the edge to Louisville. If they play the way they played against WSU there’s no way PSU overcomes the defense and pressure from first touch. I do think PSU is on the rise, and there’s lots of potential, but not quite at Louisville’s level yet.

This may end different than the rankings indicate. Penn State improved a great deal from week one to week two… if this trend continues the match is a toss up… this is a match that should be nationally televised… what better does ESPN have to put on on a Sunday? No wonder they are on bankruptcy’s front door…

If the pins can hit in the positive from first ball, without over-reliance on Jess Mruzik, PSU can hang. Defense improved from week one vs Florida and GT—PSU defenders learned a lot opening weekend! Expecting a battle, and a win for Nittany Lions.

Not impressive Knowing what to do differently, getting good reps in practice doing it, and having a plan to execute is what PSU can do now. Expecting a battle, and a win for Nittany Lions!

Competition definitely played a part here. The Mruzik question weighs heavily here, too. Can't have her be the only effective option vs. top teams.

Tbf DeBeer literally carried the dayton game for Louisville in 5 w 21 kills so same question for them ig too?

I think the real question will be what system Louisville runs and whether they’ve gotten enough reps in it. That def played a role in the Dayton match, constant changes I’m assuming so DBK and the coaching staff could evaluate all the things.

Over setting Mruzik. Could that be part of the hitters problems?
