Just got around to watching it. (It’s on espn on-demand in case anyone can’t stand the ads on YT) I have no bone in this fight, I think these two teams are fantastic and are super fun to watch. Can’t decide which was more entertaining to me, this or Minnesota-Oregon last week.. Some takeaways and questions:
Stanford’s libero has a wicked laser like serve—any reason why she started lollipopping later on?
Great to see a young Nebraska team was able toughen up to close it out in the 4th—if I recall correctly, didn’t Nebraska have considerable lead last year in the 1st then kinda fell apart?
Data doesn’t lie but it doesn’t always tell the whole truth; Stanford had more kills and higher hitting % but still lost the 1st.
Along with the crowd in the gym, I was ooh-ing and ahh-ing at plays from both sides.
Can someone explain to me why the majority of the last few pages of this thread is about a supposed behavior—I didn’t see anything questionable from either side, just normal passionate sports stuff. Even if there were, so tf what? Let them. As long as there was no cheating, it’s fine by me.
It’s almost 2024 and people are still telling women what to do and how to act. SMH.
Maybe it was just your typical trolling, but seems like a couple of posters wanted to start a gun fight; but brought a stapler instead.

No way, Bekka did "strike a pose," instant rejection for that. Now I kinda want a Texas middle and outside to do that after blocking Nebraska. Just to see the conniption fit. they're literally saying no touch. it was when Rubin attempted to swipe it out off the block on a tight set. have you never seen players say no touch with hand gestures? this really doesn't have to be a big deal...and yet-- we get it. you hate Nebraska. lol you make it very clear annually. |

Wait what did Allick do lmao She was beyond obnoxious gesticulating and verbalizing in a way that was taunting. It wasn't just for her team, it was for opponents. It was bush league at best and I hope she learns to carry herself with a little class and composure, and before you jump on me for the male versus female thing, I hate Djokovic for the same reason. 🙄🙄🙄🙄 Ok sis now where did you get that word from... |
