This is only one performance so far, so I can agree with Sheff not making Damrow the L yet, but if Damrow can keep this going, what exactly is Orzol providing in other regards that Damrow doesn't? That's even before mentioning, Damrow's bump sets are clearly miles ahead of Orzol (she got 5 assists tonight v. 1 for Orzol). Passing and serve reception to my eyes she doesn't look any worse than Orzol at all, if not better, and defensive-wise, she's a trained libero, I can't imagine her defense being any worse than Orzol. Orzol had 23 digs in 4 sets. She was better that any person on either side of the net in that stat. Damrow had 4 in a fraction of a couple - hard to compare, but looks good for Orzol. Damrow had 5 assists and Orzol had 1. Definite upside for Damrow there, but it depends on who is taking the first ball, which was primarily Orzol. That makes me think Orzol takes GGs spot. I don't know what the right solution is here because we haven't seen Damrow outside of this match. We also don't know how GG will respond. I just checked the play-by-play, Damrow played 3 rotations in the 2nd set, 6 rotations in the 3rd set, and then 3 more rotations in the 4th set. That's a total of 9 rotations. That's not really fair to compare digs numbers, but it's a fact that our floor defense has been off this season and while Julia is fine at defense for an OH, Damrow must be below average at defense for a libero for Julia to possibly be better than her. As for Damrow's assists, most of those Julia was getting out of her way after the SETTER touched it first, not because Orzol had first touch and couldn't set. I mean just by pure eye test, her sets were miles better than Orzol's sets. I mean, we're desperate enough that I don't see why we can't try Damrow at L for a few matches and see how it goes. With Orzol at L so far Wisconsin is looking shaky, and so far Orzol is barely passing above a 2. A libero who can pass even consistent 2.15+ would help us so much. The bump sets in a 6-2 is also a must, teams are getting smart these past few games putting the balls on our setters, and we need way better sets OOS than what Orzol has been providing.

SLOPPY! A W is a W I guess. Still think Orzol getting better and more comfortable in her new role. I like it. I don't understand why Wrobel never gets an opportunity, she was a stellar H.S. / Club player... I don't get it. Smrek needs to be in the middle. Almost gave away a free set on serves... Its a typical Wisky/Maquette match, I don't put too much into it. Tammy Time needs to be Tamed at Times (Serving) Regarding Wrobel, she’s had some lingering back issues and I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re redshirting her this season. Next season will be the last for both Frank and Orzol, so May as well redshirt Wrobel and keep her through 2027

If Robinson had her usual numbers, i think it would be a sweep... Marquette definitely a contender and maybe they make it to Elite 8 this time?!? Good job MU marketing for getting new indoor record... I'm sure Nebraska will do an indoor match at Cowboys Stadium next, followed by the first match ever played on the moon... *eyeroll*

Damrow stepped in and really helped stabalize the back row tonight. Going forward unless it was an injury holding GG back and not the inability to read the court/adjust on the fly/mental componant of the game I think we'll only be seeing her primarily as an occasional serving subsitution going forward. The Badgers are going to have to play a much cleaner game if they want to hang with Florida this weekend. Especially in the service game.

She’s been using the same heated zappy zappy back brace thingie that Haggerty used. I’ve seen it during games (we sit right behind the bench).

And she could be just injured enough that bc there are other OH, she redshirts. I wonder if we see Damrow at L, Orzol at OH and TTA benched. She's a rental. It's her last season. There is nothing more to develop. For the record I like TTA... when she's on.

Lmao, because teams NEVER dance and have fun between sets. Hell, they do it when they're down, much less up 2-1. Nice trolling attempt Number 1 team in the country hanging on by a thread against an unranked. Yeah im dancing in that situation, lol. How familiar are you with these in state matches ?

Lmfao Marquette that’s so bad but Wisconsin is so lucky every single time. Teams ALWAYS do this vs them Luck or an intimidating block ?

This game was really interesting to me. Robinson had arguably her worst match as a Badger tonight. TTA did not play well at all. I don't think she got a single serve in all match. Our service errors where off the charts. And we still won in 4. Smrek really stepped up (again)!
This team can play a lot better than it did tonight. And it will. It's great that it can still win these types of matches when we struggled in multiple areas.

Sarah hits low error .300 all the time and keeps getting criticized. Keep it coming I guess. I'd like to know percentage of points won by WI when she does that little roll shot at some point in the volley, even if it doesn't score. And people criticize the cut shot even though it works in part because the off blocker is cheating for the campfire shot.

In how many of Marquette's 5 losses was Carsen Murray playing? Pretty sure it was four.
