Stan closes the 3rd 25-19. CAL pushed them, but Stanford just too strong for CAL. Stan led by Francis, Kipp, and Baird all with 9 kills. CAL led by M. Li with 10 kills. CAL will definitely get conference wins this season.
Edit: and Rubin with 19 digs!

Wow @ all of Stanford's hitters (well, the main 5) were in double digits for points. And Vicini 0.5 points away from sharing the lead in scoring.

okay I don’t feel bad about throwing Cal at 25 in my rankings the past couple weeks lol. maybe they aren’t a top 25 team but they just held Stanford’s three all American pins to a low ass hitting percentage

okay I don’t feel bad about throwing Cal at 25 in my rankings the past couple weeks lol. maybe they aren’t a top 25 team but they just held Stanford’s three all American pins to a low ass hitting percentage Agreed. I wouldn't say top 25, but definitely top 50. Will see which wins they can get this season, but their defense and M. Li alone can carry them to some wins. |

much improved cal team...hope they can steal wins off teams this season...crissy needs to be the head coach not the interim head coach

Would love to see CAL get enough wins to make the tournament. They just need what, like 5 wins to be above 50%, and obviously a couple of them would need to be teams with a solid RPI.

Yeah, the even distribution of double digit points...led by the two MBs as far as hitting %...was a Kami Miner specialty (as per usual). Following the match via Statbroadcast was weird: lots of SEs and blocks. |

I think If Maeder paid attention more to the matchups it could have been a bit closer. Crissy had to tell her to set a slide because Rubin was up
