Stan gets 2nd set 25-22; much closer though. Stan led by Francis with 7 kills. Nice to see Harvey jump in, but this is another situation where Rubin is hitting negative. Keep her back row, and let another hitter come in and give it a go. Cal OPP also hitting negative. A different Opp started the season, Ashley Li, but she may be out with injury at this moment for the last few matches, and Mehrten struggling to hit away from Stan block. But she passes while in front row. Arguably team’s best passer, and leading this match in digs. With her ball control and intangibles, hard to take her out. |

Rubin up to 0 now. Baird only hitting .154 tonight. Stan has 6 aces, and 9 errors, but their serving is getting CAL oos often.

sucks that Sophie Scott is out… is DeJardin hurt? surprised she wasn’t an option when Mehrten was sucking it up I think Hamm won the spot over Scott, as Hamm blocks better. Ashley Li started opposite this year, but possibly got injured at some point, so Mehrten came in for the last couple of matches and has done well, but this is a different level. DeJardin is 3rd in line for OH after M. Li and Sam T. DeJardin isn't an OPP option apparently. |
