Badgers now with 5 aces this set.
Challenge on point before match point on the touch at the net.

Well, the badgers passed really well that match allowing to go middle or RS a lot of the time. When they were forced OOS in transition Franklin managed well hitting 0.429 with no errors on 21 swings. TTA less so hitting zero on 16 swings with 3 kills and 3 errors. Badgers served much better this match - with 6 aces and 7 errors. I saw some serves I had not seen them hit before. CC was much better on the serve. I'm liking the look of the defense. GG, Orzol and Franklin are a good team in the back row.
Badgers kept things in system today. I felt they struggled a bit in transition, which is why the HP dropped to 0.162 in the last set when Indiana started digging balls. We have to get TTA going. Still a lot to improve on.

The BadgerBadgerBadger Campaign In Support Of Relentless Negativity notwithstanding, I am happy with a sweep and remain bullish on The Badgers.
I do hope that The Badgers are able to summon the courage to take the court in Lincoln NE, knowing that defeat is inevitable. I find solace in examples of historical precedent for such bravery:
"Theirs not to make reply, Theirs not to reason why, Theirs but to do and die. Into the valley of Death Rode the six hundred ..."
Go Badgers.

Go Badgers. TTA hits 3-3-16 today and is now down to .197 hitting for the season, but sure, me pointing that out = relentless negativity LMAO. The protection a 5th-year AA senior is getting halfway into the season is wild from you. I've praised plenty of other players on the team, like Smrek, GG, etc., but I guess any negativity at all is not cool for you. If she does well, I'll acknowledge it, but if she doesn't, I'll also point it out, period. I am not into sugar-coating everything like you, whoops, sorry.

I believe this GG sub is the 13th After this dub sub at 22-19 the down ref signaled 4 subs left. Wisconsin started all three sets in rotation 2 instead of their usual rotation 1; GG on the floor to start, with Izzy and Devyn. They haven't done that at all so far this year, but it makes sense for the sub count and sub pattern that played out in the second set. So when they got around to Orzol's third serving turn, they were at 12 used, at 21-18. Then when MJ and Smrek came on, that was #13 and #14, with GG still on the floor. When Frank rotated back to serve at 24-22, TTA came back in, and that was #15. If Indiana had managed to get to 24s and then onward, we were a couple rotations away from Smrek playing backrow. I wondered if Sheffield would leave Izzy on to play front when MJ came on at 22-19, but he 'rolled the dice'. (I think it is the case that the down ref signals the number of subs used, not the number remaining. So if you saw him hold up four fingers and a fist, the fist is 'ten' and four more is 14 used.)

But when she did bomb one in the third set, it came back off the IU player's shoulder (maybe?) for a IU kill. No luck for TTA.

Ace number two for CC! ❤️❤️❤️ I love you CC in a non-creepy way! We are all big fans of CC too, in a non-creepy way. For the second year in a row, my youngest daughter got handed a pre-game ball. Last year was random (and her twin sister got a ball from GG at the same match), but this year her Kohls sign she made simply said “GO CC,” so Crawford must have seen that, as she had to hand her the ball in the back of the kids who were up front. LOL

LOL That all occurred eight feet in front of me. The wheel-chair row and then me in the 'second' row, first set of benches. I was thinking 'of course she's getting the ball, the sign cliched it.' :-)

Be very interesting to see how Franklin/TTA hold up against the Hoosiers serve. If we're looking for a TTA breakout game I don't think it will be today. The Badgers in 3 (Hoosiers 54 total points) Smrek cannot be stopped she should be set more despite our embarrassment of riches in attacking options. Good call. Power Ball numbers please. TY

TY lol, thanks. I made a prognostication on the Husker game later today as well. Now if I hit that one too then you may be on to something. Speaking of Powerball I have been trying on and off for that for years and suck the big one at it. But that is pure luck/random. Im just bummed I worked today and couldn't watch these fine young ladies nice victory.

She looked very tentative today. But when she did bomb one in the third set, it came back off the IU player's shoulder (maybe?) for a IU kill. No luck for TTA. That was a Smrek bomb. I thought Anna hit it off her face for an IU kill at the time. Replay showed it was her shoulder.

I actually commented on it in the thread when it happened. I remember it because it was the first time she swung hard all night.

(I double-checked the video.)
