We can cast stones at Endsley or anyone on this team, but we need to be subjective in our criticism. Passing is average to below, setting is average to below, hitting is average to below. Bottom line is UW played a Natty contending team tonight and by far the best team they have seen this year. This is a growing year for our team. We need to build on the positives we can get...none of our hitters...except May had a great night. Look at the rotations and options available to understand the results. Bottom line this team from back row to setter to hitter is a work in progress. It will get better, but it is what it is. Even good players need the whole team to succeed. Accept it and look to the future.

Compared to last year the Huskies team is a shell of itself.

On any normal year I would be totally bummed if "my" dawgs lost to the cougs. But I can honestly say I am not bothered in the slightest about the cougs getting the upper-hand. I actually feel like my withdrawals from the dawgs leaving the pac are behind me now and I have a new lease on my volleyball life thanks to a winning cougs team that appears to be sticking around. Lets hope Greeny can keep up the good recruiting and keep the cougs on the VB map, the NCAAs are fun to watch!

In some ways, it's been the perfect storm working against UW volleyball.
A year (or more) of rumblings about the PAC collapsing. The head coach bolts for Minnesota (who knows how many weeks he may have been distracted considering that offer). The recruiting cupboard was left somewhat bare. The AD bolts for USC (who knows how many weeks, months she may have been distracted considering that offer). The inflow from the portal is limited (it's a good thing Pertofsky arrived or who knows if UW would have any wins). The PAC collapses completely with all but two schools leaving.
Some are saying UW will improve as the season progresses, which is no doubt true. But all the other teams are likely to improve as the season progresses as well.
At this point, IMO, making the tournament seems iffy at best.
I'm just hopeful the new AD will give Tui the time she deserves to re-right the ship. It's not going to be easy, especially considering next year they move into an expanded conference which was already the toughest in volleyball without the new PAC castoffs.
(DISCLAIMER: I hope I'm wrong about all this, and Tui leads the team into the tournament and a makes a deep run.)

That alone is reason for the team to bus over and back.

Compared to last year the Huskies team is a shell of itself. Considering that only three players (Endsley, Bays, and Wilson) and only one starter (Bays - Endsley was injured and Wilson was a sub) are back from last year's team, it is hardly surprising.

I'm hoping Leslie can open up a "Samoan" pipeline. She needs to look at what Greeny has done with international recruits (seven on the roster). Although we lose Pertofsky, we do add Hunt (MB) and Haury (S). From what I can tell, this team will have only eight scholarship players returning for 2024, which means there is room for two more (guessing that Huard is not on scholie). We need a six-rotation OH and a DS/L.

Wazzu looked very good.
Hopefully, this will be the year that Wazzu finally gets to an elite eight or even a final 4.

^ Samoan Pipeline - what about Suliane Davis - 2025 OH, still uncommitted.

I could not agree more. This team is so young and has a lot of learning ahead of them. Let's all hope to see continued strides in the right direction and NO INJURIES. The average age for WSU must be 3+ years more than UW, so I was not surprised by this outcome. I am still hesitant about the 6-2 and believe the 5-1 is the better option.

I think Washington started with 5-1 yesterday, but switched to 6-2 when WSU completely abused Wilson's block
