The fact that JFO could have Gonzales, Murr, and Podraza right now and she just said 'no thx' is still so bizarre to me. One of those things is not like the others…. But yes… it is a gamble that is not paying off this year and Jen better hope it pays off in 2024

Basically, JFO got screwed by the COVID year and chose the high road.

These announcers are waxing eloquent about Orzoł and… I don’t care. Keep it up. She’s my fave.

Booth gives up big low seam on the block a lot. That and her nervousness on those overpasses are my only concerns about her so far this year.

Basically, JFO got screwed by the COVID year and chose the high road. I don't think it was a gamble. But, it was deciding whether or not you use your open scholarship(s) on a portion of your roster. To be fair, I don't think it's a bad coaching move. I'm sure plenty of teams had to make that decision, and depending on what position coaches need, I don't think it's wrong to take 1 of 3 people 'wanting to come back'

Did you know…? Jerrie Mock, the first woman to fly solo around the world, was one of the first women aeronautical engineering students at Ohio State, which she attended from 1943-45. Her career as a pilot began at age 4, when she took her first airplane ride. "I decided that would be the way to see the world," she said. "I would grow up, and I would fly my airplane around the world. Everyone laughed at me, and I laughed right back at them." Her historic flight began and ended at Ohio's John Glenn Columbus International Airport (then known as the Port Columbus Airport) in the spring of 1964 - it took just under a month. Piloting a single engine Cessna 180 Skywagon officially named The Spirit of Columbus but known as "Three-Eight Charlie," Mock experienced bad weather, brake failure, and radio transmission problems. Her route took her from Columbus to Bermuda, the Azores, Morocco, Algeria, Libya, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, India, Thailand, the Philippines, Guam, Wake Island, Hawaii, California, Arizona, Texas, Kentucky, and finally back to Columbus. After she landed, she jotted down some thoughts for the Columbus Dispatch, which had sponsored her flight: "I find myself now trying to assess what I feel, aside from any records or aviation achievements. I think it's this. When I was a just a little girl, I used to be thrilled when I'd read about things like this, not a flight specifically but something like this. Always I had the feeling that I was supposed to do something special, that I must, really. So now I have." I love reading stuff like this. Thank you for posting.

Wonder if she has one for Londot / rader if they choose to stay The 2024s committed in 2022, after it was clear there would be a whole platoon of COVID seniors. If JFO wanted, she could construct her 2024 class around keeping one or both of Rader/Londot.
