I can’t believe they let Keith go! Let me get this straight. 17-12 (9-9) overall season. Best seasons in school history. Finished 8th. If the mountain west took 8 teams into the conference tourney like most conferences with 12 teams then he would’ve been in the tournament. Air Force was the only team to beat Utah State who won the regular season championship. He recruited and developed their programs only all american (I can’t imagine they have more than her). Sounds like Keith left this program better. Hope he knows that. Yah. This is a completely logical move by the Air Force. Well done. Was told that the AD told him before the season that he had to be top 8 this year.. thinking that the Mountain West took 8 to the tourney not 6. Then realized that when they didn’t make the tournament and let him go.. If all that is true, he probably has a wrongful termination case if he wants one. He was told the performance objective, reached the performance objective, and got fired anyway. Now, the armed services traditionally don’t have to play by the same rules with selection and retention as civilian companies, but this is a civilian job at an academy…. Might be worth investigating what a claim would entail. |

Wave of the end of coaching tenures should begin bright and early tomorrow. Wonder if we will have any surprises? I feel like the swell hit Tuesday/Wednesday the last couple of years. It makes sense that they need to tell the coach, the team, etc before it gets a chance to leak. |

It'll be interesting to see who is deemed as worthy of being on the hot seat.. With the rise of coaches being on 4/5 year contracts, unless there is a violation/investigation on the coach, school's aren't firing volleyball coaches. They will just ride out the contract and not extend. Power 5's who can afford a buy out, seem to be the only one's firing coaches.

Time to start a new hot seat thread? There is a hot seat thread somewhere. The search function is busted or I’d find it. However. The fact that it’s buried tells you how many people were on the hot seat. This job season is going to be very slow, and have very little movement. |

I am personally surprised it's almost lunchtime (on the east coast) on Tuesday after selection Sunday and we haven't had a single P5 opening.
edit: looking through the standings to see who is bad, there aren't a lot of obvious candidates. Many of the bottom dwellers are either relatively new or had some recent success.
